I refuse to believe he's done. He's talented enough, even if hobbled, to play so much better. He's just faltering at the moment.
He can't get the rim. He relies on his jumper which has been sketchy for the past season. He also takes bad shots, gambles and often loses on D, and turns the ball over quite a bit.

Tiago entering the post season could have been worth a $40 million over 4 year deal (with someone overpaying for $12 a season) he has been bad all post season. He range is more in the $32 million-4 Year deal. The Spurs could resign him to that and save valuable cap.

I don't need him to play great or even well, just stop fueling Miami's runs. He's almost single-handedly evened a series that is naturally lopsided toward the Spurs.

Yep. Even Leonard missed some point blank shots. Weak....
Leonard gets a pass tonight, he's had to work his ass off on defense.

Pretty sad watching Manu these days. He still has the heart but, his body is no longer able to play at this level. Personally I hope he retires and doesn't hang on thinking he can reinvent his glory days. He has ALWAYS given us fans and his teammate 120% but, no matter how much he wants to he just cannot do that any longer. Retire Manu and let us hang your jersey in the rafters with all the other Spurs greats who have played for our Spurs. You have given us a lifetime of great memories and there is no need to worry about giving us more because you have given us fans everything you had. ou are a winner through and through. It is time now to go be with your family. Raise those kids of yours and keep em safe. They have a dad they can be very, very proud of.

No one has mentioned a possible injury. Could he be hurt? I almost think he has to be because the precipitous plunge in his level of play is surreal. Father Time is a mean bas , but I doubt he has it in for Ginobili this badly.

Did anyone else hear his post game comments? Won't even own the performance or say that he has to be better, in attack mode, etc., instead claiming, to paraphrase, that he moved the ball well and that he played the same way in game 3 and they won by 36.

It's not just that, it's the tone; dispirited, burnt out from talking to the media and in general, like he'd rather be doing something else. What the happened to this guy?

I'm not ready to toss dirt on him. Wade looked done the first three games and look what happened tonight.

Give Manu more isolations, get him out of pick-and-rolls, demand that he attacks early and often, and I think he'll bounce back in Game 5.

    It's been said many times

his turnovers and his long missed threes

hurt even worse because that feeds miami's offense

    and shifts momentum

I don't want to see him do anything but get the defense moving and making accurate passes or drives to the rim

    anything else is self destruction

I still believe in him. I'm always sad to see him play poorly, but I know he gives it his all and I hope his best is on display for the rest of this series.

He can contribute if given the correct role and that's going to be on Pop to step in and make the adjustment. Have a sit down with him and discuss options, things to look for. There needs to be more ball movement when he is in the game running point. Too much ISO at the top of the key which goes into pick n roll and that's about it. The only time the ball moves is when he hands off to Neal or Joseph, the ball rotates to find him and he's behind the 3 point line taking a crappy contested 3.

I might even start him game 5.. Duncan, Kawhi, Green, Gino Parker just to see if they can get him some baskets.

Maan I feel the same way. But it hurts watching him right now. Tiago hurts even worse cus he's right at the basket an can't finish. Manu pawsing can still be on point. But he's not trying to attack the rim. But it's time to take Dwade off the cross an put Manu on it.
