Yet another thing we need to raise taxes to solve. Ergo: it isn't a problem for 50% of the population.
Sad to see the human cost in misery when we don't solve problems. My guess is that the solitary confinement for the insane is probably a bit more expensive in the long run than building mental health facilities that might actually treat the underlying cause.
