want to team up as clippers but hawks have max money for both
what happened to the Mavs having enough cap space for 2?
Dallas has just enough room to sign a max free agent if Mayo opts out of the $4.2 million on his contract for next season. Can't really see Marion opting out of his $9.3 million payday for 2013-14.
Why is it just enough room to sign 1 max guy? Is there a hard cap now? Couldn't cubes take the luxury tax hit for the first year that dirk Dwight and CP58 are all on the books then sign Dirk for the remainder of the other 2 deals at a lower salary that would put them at or lower than the cap for the years to come ?
It's not unlikely. Super teams are the future of the NBA, and if it doesn't happen through league contraction it's going to happen through player mobility.
If you want to "team up" take a paycut you morons...neither Paul or Howard deserves a max contract in their injury filled declining years...
Solid take.
They won't take a pay cut though. They are both more interested in money than in winning a ring, and they are too stupid (and their agents too ty) to realize rings mean money.
As long as the two are getting endorsements and front paged by the media and the NBA for losing all the damn time, why win?
Truth bomb.
Both s will go where the biggest money is. Dallas would be a perfect destination for them if they really want to win something, but it's not likely that we can afford two maxes for both of them with Dirk still on book. s can join together on a ty franchise (the hawks?) and eat up the cap space, leaving the team with no room to sign anything more than minimum earners and suckers. A team with CP+DH and trashes wouldn't be even as good as the Clippers, and even the Clippers cannot get past the 2nd round in the west.
