We've never had this problem in the past.
I know Tim and Kori fund the server expenses out of their own pocket to keep the site ad free. If I remember, after Tim's medical emergency, they cut costs, which is understandable since paying medical bills is a little bit more important than maintaining Spurstalk. Not by much, though :cheeky:

the mods were watching the game at at&t tonight so they didn't block unregistered guests in time. they did exactly that the other nights when there was a game going on, and it worked out good. too many guests flooded the site, and that's also a reason why I don't want the spurs to win. would be slow as with millions of new bandwagoners jumping on board if the Spurs win

the NSA monitoring programs take 90% of the CPU on the servers so there's only 10% of CPU power to handle all the connections IMO
