Everybody was awesome.
Everyone is talking about how great Green and Ginobili were (with good reason they were great) but what about Tony? The guy killed it out there! He was the leading scorer with 26 points going 10/14 with 5 assists. He took over in the 4th and made sure the Spurs kept their marginal lead all with an injured hamstring.![]()
Everybody was awesome.
Tony was great too. But stat padded when we had a big lead in the 4th
WERD...total TEAM win tonight!
The crowd knew what was up when they gave him the M-V-P chant while he was at the line. Remember when they used to do it for Duncan. But Parker showed up tonight for sure. We need an even better game from him and Manu on Tuesday to win tbh.
very underrated performance by TP. there was a lot of love to go around tonight, especially with Kawhi, who always comes up with big rebounds or steals when things are getting out of control.
Disagree, Miami was making a run and he was the only one who was still playing.
Exactly, Miami made a run when Tony was holding the ball for 20 seconds then taking contested shots, but overall was a great game
Truth. When the Spurs started bricking shots, turning the ball over, and giving Miami transition buckets Tony responded and kept the lead alive in the 4th. MVP performance from Tony tonight.
what made this so nice tp did not have to use all his energy in the first when manu went off and tp had more gas for second half
Yeah after Tony absolutely gassed himself in game 4 he seemed more under control and worked better within the confines of his health condition.
Tony was really great and has been the most regular player along with Green, Leonard and Tim.
quelle merde incroyable!
Tony was keeping his foot on their necks, while proving he was "courageously fighting through injury"and not being gassed in the 4th.
One of the most consistent things about this forum is the level of hatred by a few towards TP, regardless of what he does. If he gets 18 assists and has everyone else shooting great, he is labeled as "passive" or "didn't show up". When he scores, he is "hero-balling" or "stat padding". Quelle merde incroyable" indeed.
Parker was finishing at the rim with more in the tank at the end. A BIG positive for the next (and hopefully last) game. He still needs to let the heat know he could tear the hamstring "at any moment".
Looked more sproingy last night.
I guess it's been 5 days since the initial injury and if nothing bad happened in either game 4 or last night he will be at 7 days so good
