I hope you are correct![]()
You heard it here first... after tomorrow night he's going to silence the critics forever and retire on top.
Sadly he's spent.
I'd be happy with an ok 10-15 point +5 assist night from our beloved Manu tomorrow.
I think Parker and Duncan are due for big games, but 20 from Manu would be terrific.
Parker scored 26 last night
Spurs must play as a team to beat the Heat (even if they could). You can't beat the Heat with hero ball because that's exactly what the Heat are best at. Manu will struggle to perform in game 6 because the Heat will definitely put more pressure on him after his brilliant performance of game 5, and the responsibility will be "falling down" again to the role players such as Neal and Green. You can't expect kids to win you the battle of Yamazaki but that's the exact reality the Spurs are facing now.
^^ With how confident Green, Neal, and Leonard have been in this series? Doubt if they're scared to play in Miami again. Game 6 is gonna be a dogfight, but I believe the Spurs will pull off a close OT win.
Rogue can get carried away sometimes.
These guys already proved they can play in Miami and win.
Players such as Splitter, Ginobili, and Diaw who have no had a significant impact on the series are the ones we should watch. We all know what to expect out of Green, Parker, Duncan, and Neal.
In one of the previous threads, I mentioned that Ginobili is the catalyst. His lenovo +/- stats has been detrimental to the team. Most of all, its been detrimental to Gary Neal who he plays most of his minutes with. If you compare the box scores of game 4 and 5, you'll notice that because Ginobili finally had a positive impact on the game, he had a positive effect on Neals Lenovo stats.
Ray Allen had a great game last night with 21 points and 4-4 from the three point line of 10 field goal attempts but Ginobili canceled that out. If the Spurs can once again place the same effort they did but keep Allen under wraps, the series is over.
Look for yourself...
Game 5

Miami just need a better solution to Tony Parker imho. Guy is the engine of the spurs offense and if you can cut off his ball supply to his teammates, the Spurs will have a hard time scoring 90+ points. Bad news for miami is they don't seem to have the right guy who can shut him down completely. Chalmers is a mediocre defender and the yam head Cole is 100 times worse. Therefore, they're gonna need help defense from Wade or Miller (I'd rather put Allen in the lineups, at least Allen can play a solid defensive game when he wants to), and if possible I'd rather play wade at PG to confront parker head to head, with Allen starting at 2. The idea of winning the championship with a head being your starting PG sounds just hilarious as it gets imho. PG-led teams don't win championships but it doesn't mean you dont need to give a about PG tbh.
manu had his turn. it's duncan's time to step up.
Duncan should have a monster game tonight and retire when he gets his 5th
Diaw and ginobili have both had significant impacts on the series. Games 1-4 Ginobili had a negative impact, and game 5 he had an overwhelmingly positive one.
Diaw's last 2 games have been full of stellar defense and passing.
im expecting monster game from duncan and taking that fmvp, anyone but that clown parker
duncan going to drop 28/16/3/3
Those are Game 4 and 5, tbh.
Manu is easily the most overrated player in this forum. by far
Thanks..I was thinking ahead lol.
reappearance?
If Manu is the best player of the game and leads the Spurs to victory, he could end up stealing the MVP trophy with just two good games but I wouldn't count on it, tbh. He has already covered his TOSB part.
good call
