I quit. I reserve the right to come back if my Spurs pull it off but otherwise Im outta here. I havent felt this deflated after a sports loss since Manu gave away the WCF in '06.

Sucks.
I just can't muster up the belief that the Spurs can win game 7. Not after this heartbreak. No way in does Duncan replicate that kind of performance again. Manu predictably sucked ass on the road, and Parker is back to his old tricks.
That said, I'm not gonna on these guys. They gave it their all and battled to the bitter end. Choke jobs are a part of sports, and this time, we were on the receiving end. I'm okay with that, actually. Spurs fans have been pretty fortunate in that regard. Yeah, we had .4 and the Manu foul, but we've never truly had a heart ripping let down like Lakers fans in '69 and '84, or Red Sox fans, or even Rangers fans, who we all know we're one strike away from a World Series.
Thanks, Spurs for an incredible season.
Maybe you guys still believe, but I just can't.

One of the worst performances in finals history by Ginobli.
First of all, I would say: A rebound away from a championship. Twice! Remember when Lebron missed that three badly, and then they got the offensive rebound and he made the next one? Then remember the offensive rebound that led to Ray Allen's three? Yeah, either one of those two rebounds would have secured the championship.
Second: Tim didn't score much in the second half. His first half was MVP-worthy, but he faded after that. It's not really his fault, though, because the offense wasn't running through him enough. "Pound the rock" = Get the ball to Duncan. Yeah it's 2013, yeah he's 37, and you know what? He's still the best player.
Spurs in 7.
I'm probably not even gonna bother watching game 7. Call me a , call me a fake fan, I don't care but the Spurs really have no chance in of winning game 7. I'm pretty sure the Heat will blow them out of the building.
Truth bombs, he made Harden's performance from last year look Jordanesque![]()
Anyhow, Spurs fans, don't get too down. I'm deflated, as well, but at the end of the day, we're still rooting for multimillionaires who proverbially wouldn't piss on us if we were on fire.
Game 7 is gonna be ugly; Spurs just expended too much energy this game to piss it away at the FT line. I won't watch game 7 as they'll lose. I'd love to be proven wrong but this one is over.
How can you not watch game 7 with your team in it? Even if they do get blown out, nobody gave them a chance to be here in the first place, so what is there to fear?
Like Pop says: "This is supposed to be hard. It's the Finals."
When life gets hard, do you give up and kill yourself?Cheer up, we still have a shot at the damn championship.
Whatever happens, proud of this team. Miami just got the breaks and they took advantage of them. That's what this game is all about, so props to them.
Game 7 gonna be a repeat of Game 6 in the 08 Finals, Spurs gonna lose by 30+ in one of the biggest blowouts in NBA history. The king wins another Finals MVP and Harlem and Lebrons cup will suck eachothers s.
Could've made things easier if it was in his coaching philosophy to foul the opposing team when you're up 3.
I havent felt this bad since the romo fumble in Seattle in '07.
except my heart burns with the rage of a thousand suns at Ginobili.
I see plenty of reason for optimism. The Spurs can make simple adjustments to play better:
1. Run more offense through Duncan.
2. Don't let Ginobili be the ball handler in pick-and-rolls.
3. Ginobili: don't make stupid ing passes, you .
4. ALWAYS have a rebounder in the game (i.e. Duncan) when you need to make a stop and secure the rebound...which is always.
...Just off the top of my head.
Missing freethrows is just part of the game.
Only reason we're even talking about missed FTs is simply because Pop grew over confident with his zits infested ugly ing face.
He over rested Duncan and Parker. This is ing do or die you stupid re . You dont rest until you get what you went to get what you came here for. You get like 5 months off. Geez
Who even does that in the NBA?
Doesn't the other team get 2 FTs PLUS the ball when you intentionally foul them with less than 2 min left in the game? the whole anti-hack rule thanks to ty FT shooters like Shaq and duh-white.
Oh yeah, that only applies off-ball, I guess they could have done that.

This loss is on Leonard and Manu. Make your damn free throws. I mean seriously, if either one of those bozos makes both of their free throws in that last minute of the 4th quarter, the Spurs would be celebrating right now.
Popovich's fault for not putting in Duncan for rebounding purposes. Twice. 6 points lost right there. FTs cost them two.
If he was in Pop's position with a few seconds of regulation to go, Jackson's 12th would be a lock, that's for sure. Huge chokejob.
Manu sucked, and Tony woke up late, yet we were right there... I thought Pop was overthinking it... we just choked it there at the end... I don't know you can recover from this.
We have one more shot at it, and I won't doubt TD and the rest of the fellas, but this one was tough tough tough
Yup...so close. One free throw, one rebound. Even one more 3...I think they shot under 30% from 3 the whole game. It's hard because it's become a running theme for these Spurs to blow it. But, it happened in Game 6 not game 7. The Spurs have one more shot at it.
I don't give a which team ends up winning the series. Heat will win more likely than not but anything can happen on the basketball court. The only thing that delights me tonight is that DMC will be staying around
cant blame it on KL when he showed up the whole game, while fake ass mvp candidate with fmvp aspirations choke like a with his partner in crime turnoboli
first half gino played like , comes out 2nd half played most of 2nd half and OT, WHAT FKN GIVES?
How do you motivate a player into wanting to win a championship? How do you motivate a player to take the extra time to make sure he's prepared for the game? How do you tell a player that he should appreciate the opportunity in front of him not lay an egg on court?
The truth is that you can say all you want to the player because at the end of the day, its all on that player to take action by himself. Its on that player take the extra strides to do what he has to in order for him to succeed. Its up to him to look around and realize his teammates need him to be successful and want him to be successful so they can win together. Its on that player to realize..that the a golden championship trophy to symbolize his greatness of being part of a another historical championship for you team and for people who want you to succeed.
But.......Emanuel is not realizing this. He has mentally checked out. A minus -21 meaning that his presence of being in the game singlehandely aided the Heat in scoring 21 points while he was on court. 8 turnovers..of 13 total team turnovers? He's the sole reason the Heat were so close in the first place.
I love that pop trusts his players but there needs to be an exception made at times. This guy did not want to win...at all...did not match the intensity of Tim Duncan at any moment when he was on the court. Even an injured Tony Parker scored 19 points while being guarded by the best defense the Heat had to offer, LeBron James.
The Spurs could have easily won the game without Manu on court. They did great without Manu on court and were up 11 when wasn't then the Heat came back in the 4rd after the Spurs had a convincing lead.
You can say what you want about Popovich and Tony but I don't give a . Manu Ginobili needs to face the mirror. He needs to tell himself that if he thinks that he doesn't believe he can bring it, he should move out of the way of another player that will. I don't believe anyone else on the Spurs bench can do no worse. If you don't have have it..you don't have it. If you have it...be prepared to bring it.
