I'll go down with the ship with Manu if that's what it takes. I thought playing him at the end was the right move despite how bad he was all night.
The Spurs still wish they took that last timeout in OT tbh, but it is what it is. I thought I'd never see the day when I cringed everytime Manu had the ball in a big game. But I think he responds Thursday, the man is still the heart and soul of the Spurs.

They say after a stinging loss you just want to play again. Well, they'll get that chance.
    This.

I agree. The Heat burned a lot of energy too. LeBron played 50 minutes...

They say after a stinging loss you just want to play again. Well, they'll get that chance. As I said, I'd say we still have about a 40% chance of winning. Which ain't bad in the big picture. BELIEVE!!
That isn't to him because he's the best conditioned athlete in the NBA and he's in his prime.

(I can't stop shaking my head. I'm not mad or sad ...... I guess in shock is the closest description.)

Anyways, instead of replaying those final possessions in my brain for the 2,000th time, let's discuss what could happen in Game 7. The two main obstacles:

-Duncan got his knee rolled up on and was limping to end the game.

-The heavy minutes made this the worst possible way to lose Game 6.

Can we expect anything from Duncan? A gimpy knee and coming off 44 minutes? I know he's a warrior but, damn, at some point there's just nothing left in the tank to give. Maybe he can surprise but it'd be unfair to expect more out of him.

Parker on a stiff hamstring after a long game ...... it's not going to be easy. He didn't play very well tonight, though, so it's reasonable he can improve as long as his body cooperates.

Ginobili played long minutes. But he can't play worse in Game 7. Let's leave it at that.

Leonard and Diaw probably can't improve on their level of play.

    Everyone else could improve.

The one thing the Spurs have going the other way is Wade looked pretty damn injured in the second half. If he's hurting in Game 7, if the Spurs can keep LeBron in check, if Bosh can stay lukewarm, if their role players suc b to the pressure ... and the Spurs can survive a worse Duncan by others picking up their level of play .... then there's hope.

    Believe.

    It's fvcking hard but....

    Believe.
One thing that many people are forgetting is that we didn't get much from our offensive X factor in Danny Green for game 6. I think that REALLY hurt us. More than most of the posters here realize. His 3's in some ways became a focal point of our offense. Miami, well, I've gotta give them credit. They did a damn good job controlling Green. What kind of adjustments do you think Pop will make to help Green get some 3's?

If Wade is injured and LeBron gassed, we may have more of a chance than some think here.
If 28-year-old LeBron James is gassed, what does that make Tony, Tim, and Manu?

No he isnt. Tim Duncan is STILL the heart abd soul of this team. and if Ginobili doesnt give us '05 like vintage quality with 30/10/7 to make up for duncans injury, we'll probably lose

Why are so many of you giving up? Have you not learned anything about coming back from adversity. It's tough. It's not easy.

You can't give up before the game has even begun. So many teams do this against Miami, and that is why they get rolled.

Even Brandon Jennings, as crazy as he seemed, in round 1, never gave up. Why should the Spurs?

So what, we lost a tough game 6. We still get another chance and that is rare. We can't come in like game 6 against the Lakers in 2004. Gotta bring it. Everyone. Spurs can win anywhere, they can definitely do it here.

The best chance the Spurs will have is if they hang with the Heat, then the pressure might start to set it for the Heat. Like TD said, Spurs got to execute for longer and finish this time.
Like POP said its the finals its not supposed to b easy

I didn't mean best player I meant emotional leader. When Ginobili plays well it energizes the entire Spurs team.

Everyone can say that being here is playing with house money but being this close and losing is demoralizing.. especially because everyone knows that is the end.

Heat showed real championship mettle. They made so many classic plays tonight. They ain't gonna lose a game 7on their home court against a demoralized and injured Spurs team.

LeBron is the real deal, and Miami is the better team.
    Hope I'm wrong.

I think the players will regroup or at least put it in the back of there mind, it's a one game series now all on the table but if Pop ed this one up then he can very well up game 7. I don't trust him to do what needs to be done, play the starters long long minutes and stop over thinking bull .

    Lebron is the real deal???

He sucked in the first half and Ray Allen is the reason they won along with Pop.. Lebron is a choker.. This 2nd ring will be his last in Miami...

Spurs are truly ed. I dont expect nothing out of game 7, for reason not being disappointed, again... Duncan hurt, Parker hurt, Ginobili is done. Green was shutdown, Splitter have no respect out of refs, they call everything against him. Pop is too stuborn to bench Ginobili and Spurs would have won it, even with freakin De Colo instead of him.

Who knows what the is going to happen on Thursday? No one does. But I know one thing. This is my team and I am going to ride with them until the end. I hoped, prayed, the Spurs would win it in five or even six. But deep down, I knew it was going to go 7.

The Heat won 66 games this year. They had home court. I don't think Spurs fans really understood the daunting task our guys had in front of them. Yet they still have a chance to win it. If you give up on them, can you blame them if they gave up on themselves?

    BELIEVE!

This POS Heat team is ready to be put down you could see it all playoffs long. The only question was could the Spurs play well enough to do it? Next year the Heat will NOT win the le. Pacers have their number, Bulls will be healthy, OKC will be back..

It just ing sucks to lose this one... So bad..

In all honesty, it was a Game 6.5. Game 7 is basically a ceremonial formality at this point. Spurs winning this Game 7 would be a million times more shocking than the Red Sox coming back from an 0-3 deficit against the Yankees in 2004.

Are you mental? LeBron scored a triple double, 32 points, 11 assists & 10 rebounds. 18 points after the 3rd quarter. Is that what you call a choker?

Yeah lets just look at the stat sheet and not how he actually played..

Always a smart choice.. Heat are losing the game without Allen bailing them out and Queen James missed an ass load of shots..

TD is NOT hurt. He was limping but it wasn't serious. He's just tired more than anything. What really worries me is that Bosh only played 39 minutes and Wade only 30, both less than TD and TP. Combine that with Lebron being the best conditioned player in the game and they seem to have a better chance at having more left in the tank than we do. Man...I just need to sleep this off. I can't keep talking about this .
