A very slim chance, yes.
I would take this opportunity in a heart beat and so would every single spurs player.
"This is a big boy game"
"This is not supposed to be easy"
"keep pounding on that rock"
and whatever saying Pop says in the huddles, it applies right now.
Today hurt but guess what, it wasn't a game 7 and it wasn't an elimination game for us. They were the ones that HAD to win and they did...BARELY.
But we have another opportunity to make this a special year, an amazing moment and also to make game 6 MEANINGLESS.
Unlike .04 (where we had already lost 3 straight after game 5 and had to win 2 games to win the series) and unlike manu foul in 06 (where we WERE eliminated due to that loss) we still have another opportunity to win. And we only have to win ONE, only ONE game. Not one and then another one and then play in the western conference finals and win that too...NO, only ONE more and we are champs.
You remind me of the little get kid in disney movies trying to give a motivational speech. Unlike Disney movies though, the good guys don't always win. We all know that its over. Maybe we are a bit euphoric due to the crazy events that led to a loss, but dude, its over.
Can timmy dominate back2 back games ?!
far from over "dude"
tonight sucks...there is no doubt about it.
But honestly, I hope spurs fans aren't killing themselves over this game when in the end, this game is chalked up as a regular loss just like games 2 and 4. If we win game 7 then all today did was make half our posters whine and cry how this one hurts more than those other losses.
But then everyone will be all giddy after thursday saying how much sweeter it was winning after losing game 6 the way we did.
Spurs are a great team, they will play well.
Sorry this isn't Disney, in real life you give a game away and it will haunt you forever
Goddamnit turn in your spurs card. You called the spurs done how many ing times this postseason?
Were not talking about some sissy team in the NBA, were talking about the MIAMI HEAT playing at their home.
Sorry to awake you bro, but we gave it all last game. Now the wheels felt off.
You said the same after the Spurs lost Game 2 to the Warriors. Change the record already, .
exactly. this ain't over.
bad
- not being able to protect the lead.
- duncan's knee getting rolled up
- manu back to being trash
- fatigue
good
- wade struggled
- pop probably learned his lesson
- manu will have his last chance
- would be a little sweeter to win a game 7 vs a game 6
- miller will have both shoes and lebron will have his headband
The Heat are very beatable at home. We've done it before.
No question, we beat ourselves tonight with our missed FTs.
Great post. I am discouraged but not disheartened. I expected a blowout and James ends up playing 50 minutes.
Who the cares. This season is manna from heaven. Danny Green did the biggest aboutface in NBA history. Timmy playing ten years younger. Parker daring the basketball gods to allow a PG led team into the promised land. , the gods allowing the 2013 Spurs a healthy chance at all kicks ass. The Spurs already proved the honest, hardworking, drafting smart, spending wise way works amazingly. We even had the original big 3.
We got game 7 anyway. the Heat, Lebron, the haters and disbelievers. No surrender in this fan and i see none in this team. This loss wont mean when the Spurs are sipping champagne in the lockerroom celebrating their triumph. !!
I agree with OP. As much as this loss hurts, as much as we're unlikely to win game 7, we have to realize that IT AIN'T OVER. NO MATTER HOW SMALL IT IS, WE STILL HAVE A CHANCE.
We have to suck it up and get over this loss before game 7.![]()
