So let me get this straight, you question the musical depth of people like Dylan, Neil Young, Joe Ely, Patti Smith & Springsteen (who led the The Clash's R&R HOF tribute performance after their induction)? How about ins utions like the R&R HOF and Rolling Stone (love them or hate them aside)?
Instead we should listen to the musical depth of a guy who's "read all the books" and knows how to cut and paste ............. eh, I don't think so

No. The Clash was on that first list you posted. You can post all the ty lists you want, but it doesn't mean a thing.
You know what I want? I want you to explain how "Rapper's Delight" is a better rock song than "London Calling".

Bottom line, it's real obvious The Clash ain't for everyone. For them to totally be ommited from most lists, well...

Bottom line is they had one decent album, one decent song. Now compare that to Dylan, Stones, Zeppelin, Beatles, Eagles, etc etc.
