How nervous were you in 2005?

I don't think this game is 50/50. I think the Spurs odds of winning the series series was roughly 50/50 after they took Game 5 and a 3-2 lead headed back to Miami, but not now conditioning on a Game 6 loss.

Yeah. Objectively, I'd put the Spurs' likelihood of winning tonight at around 35-40%.

I was more nervous in '05 because the Pistons were such a mentally tough club and I knew they would play well. They were a real team. For tonight I feel strangely calm. Of course anything can happen, but no matter the outcome I feel the Spurs are the better team and will play well.

I was nervous as , but much more confident, because that team was way more battle tested. By 2005, the focus on defense has been a staple of the Spurs for a while. Tim and Manu were younger. Bowen was there. Pistons were a tough as group, but they didn't have any 'superstar' you had to be concerned would go off at any time.

I still like our chances tonight, but it's a different situation.

The only way a Spurs fan can say he/she wasn't nervous in 2005 is if they are misremembering, tbh. I was probably more nervous then because that was a championship the Spurs were supposed to win. They NEEDED to win that one, tbh.

I think it was halftime. I vividly remember telling Kori that if one team could build a 6 point lead, the game was over. The Pistons promptly came out and built a 6-8 point lead in the 3rd quarter.
