Dude just needs to retire. His mind moves way to fast for his old body to keep up with anymore. That's why he commits all the turnovers. Early in his career he told pop "this is what I do, this is how i play," so it's obvious he is never gonna change his style, even for the betterment of the team, even at this age. His style cost this championship.
I take nothing away from what he's meant to the spurs, he's my favorite spur...ever....but he just need to let it go and retire.

i want Manu back. did he play perfect? no. but he had 18 points on 6-12 shooting, made a huge 3, followed it with a brilliant steal and set up Danny Green for a wide open 3 who clanked it. that was the game in my book
hope he's back... the new Big 3 is TP/TD/Kawhi though....
18 pts in final game 7 is done ?
ok then...
If he's not willing to take a substancial pay cut to allow Sa to atleast pursue a fa then I dnt want manu back
I hope we bring him and TMac back next year, I think they could make a potent duo for the second team.
Nice try at ripping Manu but it won't work, especially after tonight's game.
Other players laid some eggs tonight, not Manu.
I second Nono in that he will be back but I don't think he will play big 3 minutes anymore.
Some people are idiots.
If you want to blame him for game 6, then fine, but blaming him for game 7 is asinine. I think he exceeded all of our expectations. He had some flashback drives to the rack that reminded me of years past, tbh...
I still love him but he's turned into the Rex Grossman of basketball.
Blown away that so many of you want Manu back. Must be an inability to put reality (Manu is a threat to his own team) over desire (wanting Manu to be his old self).
Blaming him for game 7 because, despite his points, he continued committing turnovers at the most crucial points of the game. His body can't keep up with his mind anymore and it's not gonna stop. It is who he is.
The only way you bring him back is with a massive pay cut, and an understanding that his game will have to be altered.
The dude is 35 trying to play like he's 25. Like a 45 year old man still trying to wear cool clothes and faux hawks with 4 kids and still have a rap career that never panned out.
Timmy is 37 but has always been the guy that wears polo, khakis conservative dresser with a good steady job that knows what his limitations are.
No longer a part of the big 3? absolutely. But as 4th/5th option, he still has value IMO.
