Parker disappearing in the most important game of his career

He was injured![]()
I just can't get myself to play the blame game.. we were the absolute underdogs in this series, and we fought until literally the wheels fell off... great season and great team.
That would be against the CoM rules, tbh.....
And if the Spurs pulled out Game 6, your point guard theory would've still held up, since he didn't do much to impact that game besides those two clutch shots, which were huge, but Duncan and Leonard carried that .
No surprise TBH
But he had a great regular season and 1st 3 rounds
It'S the only thing that matters upstairs
No, no. After game 6, I squarely put this series on Manu... no doubt. But after that game, they come back today and gave everything... they always play hard. Sometimes things don't work out and the other team is just better.
point guards are shown to not be necessary... aka heat
That's true if you have LeBron James.
Parker is as real as they come..I'm a fan of they guy after watching this series...he put his foot in Lebron's ass...I like seeing Lebron getting his ankles broke trying to guard Parker...Derrick Rose needs to take notes..and stop playing with the ing ball..Parker gets in the lane and he's gone to the rack
Or MJ and Pip, or Hakeem
Or if you want to win a championship
Ask the Pacers if they think PG play is unnecessary, tbh.
or Duncan
or Kobe
or KG
or countless other non-point guards who have been the best player on a championship team
He actually was injured, it's obvious he wasn't the same after he strained his hamstring, he only played well after the 3 days of rest, and although he played well he didn't look nearly as explosive, even walking with a limp after the game.
Only having 1 day of rest between games completely ruined him. Even if SA won I doubt he'd have been MVP, it's possible Leonard would've gotten it.
That's a strawman argument since no one is saying you can have absolute dog at point guard and be OK.
The Pacers overachieved in the playoffs because they don't rely on high level point guard play. Teams that don't rely on their point guard generally overachieve in the playoffs with respect to their expectations (like all the Cleveland teams that had Eric Snow at PG).
No blame game. He woulda been the hero if we won game 6.
Should never have doubted the DoK theory
I don't think he disappeared. It was noticable when he dribbled around for 18 seconds and then gave the ball up to someone else. His 3-12 shooting was worse than it looked because it would've been 3-22 if he shot the ball after dribbling for 18 seconds without creating anything.
James effort on the defensive end against Parker will be the 1st forgotten thing. He deserves a lot of credit for that
it's really disappointing for spurs fans that he didn't show up but is it the most important game for himself? I think that was the game 4 of 07 finals, i mean even if the spurs had won the series this year, Duncan would've bagged the FMVP trophy
