You guys stuck right there with us in the trenches.

I can't speak for all Spurs fans, after all, your team is our biggest rival who's dealt us some of the most painful defeats in Spurs history, so I'm sure some Spurs fans will forever hate you no matter what, but speaking for myself, I can't summon the anger to no longer feud with you after you guys had our backs like that (until the next playoff series between our teams, of course). Sure, you might've been rooting for the Spurs out of self-interest so that Lebron doesn't overshadow Kobe, and the media, in their eternal re ation and ratings pimping, will probably declare Lebron this and that, but just like us Duncan fans stuck with Duncan>Kobe, even when 95% of the basketball world thought otherwise, you in' stick with Kobe>Lebron.

What a strange in' season. Made bury the hatchet with Lakers fans

And yeah, I'm pretty emo right now.

Like I said..if I invalidate the Spurs success over the years I invalidate Kobe...as I personally believe those WCF games and other play-off series against the SPurs were some of the toughest he's ever faced...while I would never choose Duncan over Kobe I respect Duncan and I'm a huge Tony Parker fan...I wish he was our PG right now...and I wish Pop was our coach....

Agreed. Trust Spurs fans when we say that '03 was one of the sweetest Spurs victories ever, because we knew how great the Lakers were, even if the 3 peat Lakers were a little past their prime. After they Spurs dethroned the Lakers, I remember telling myself I don't even care if we win the le or not. That's how big that win was at the time.

I will say this much...in this series the Spurs made me realize how they are no longer boring. I know thats nothing compared to a Larry trophy but they won every fans respect. They never had that prior to this series.

Perhaps, but the majority were rooting for the Spurs in the Finals thread in the NBA section.

No prob son. Disagree about the Kobe legacy comment though. I just didn't want the cHeat to winPERIOD.

On an aside, that missed chip shot by TD will haunt his ass forever. Why the he didn't just dunk that ? , man. Manu needs to go to the glue factory.

    PS - LeBron. the cHeat.

In a moment of weakness, i actually felt bad for jim when he missed that layup during the last minute but spurfan gets no sympathy.

They spent all season wishing injuries and the way they celebrated when Kobe went down, pratically starting a riverwalk parade, that was ed up.

    With that said, spurfan. Karma's a .

If it does, it sucks that he has to carry that burden when all his teammates had to do last game was make a FT or grab a in' rebound.

Also worth noting is Bosh had zero points

Seeing him slam the ground as the le slipped away after what happened in Game 6 ... felt bad for Jim.

So why in the are you calling him Jim if you felt bad for him?

Kobe choked in a game 7, but Artest bailed him out. Tim had no-one at 37 to help him out. He missed an easy one, but he was not the reason for the loss. Tim and Kawhi showed up. Everyone else could have played better.

Tremendous effort from TD. For someone this age to play this well is very tough way to lose. He left it all out there. Spurs could have and should have went to him more. He is one of the greatest players ever.

I'm actually backing off the Kobe hate for tonight because I really, really will miss those two in their prime going against each other. I'd love if it they were both on the same team and won one more ring, especially over the Heat.

For the record, I told people to stop talking about the Kobe injury. I didn't like that, wasn't fair to dump on him.

Edit : Thanks to those of you that went for us to beat the Heat. We had it in game 6 and gave it away. Tough loss, but no way will I let it get me down.

I talk about jim but i would never wish or celebrate a player's injury.

Duncan and Kobe are legends, all time greats, they deserve to end their careers on their own terms, not with some bull injury.
