The Heat 3-peating depends completely on how much Wade and Bosh can settle into the roles they've fallen into. They won't win another ring unless Wade stops ing up spacing so much and finds more ways to contribute without the ball, while the chemistry between Bosh and Lebron needs to get better. IMO, the Heat don't win it all next year and then do some major retooling in the off season.

I'm not saying they will sign Chauncey, only that Chauncey had already publicly commented that he'd like to join them. As for why bothering with him, I'd imagine he'd be pretty cheap and I'm pretty sure both LeBron and Wade do respect him and like him as a player. There are much worse options than having Billups as the back-up PG, especially with Miami having limited financial flexibility.

Miami does need a less out-of-control backup PG than Norris Cole, Philli was smart to take him out of the rotation completely.
SamDam's value is low compared to what it used to be and would be a great pickup for them. They aren't gonna win another one as a team w/o a legit big man that defends interior scoring with fronts and double teams.
