He must really love this team considering the fact that he's not even getting playing with the spurs.

Surprising decision if you ask me.
Gotta take the money while you can.. he's still on an NBA roster.

He's a good locke room guy anyways. Will be good to have him back.

Why on earth would Dallas trade a first-round pick for a guy who can't get off the bench?
clear capspace to go after Howard/CP3
they would rather get someone they can waive after they trade like Bonner though

One word, Baynes. The Spurs need the Aussie connection for next year!

Mills should be our backup point, this dude can drive to the basket and dish it out to an open green/kawai/bonner/neal

I'm happy for him, he looks like a nice guy.

The fifth string PG, behind Parker, Manu (as per finals), Joseph and DeColo,
    is coming back.
To do what exactly, I am not sure.

Better to be a bench player on a winning team than a bench player on a losing team.

My guess is also no more Neal. Maybe another team has already shown interest.

His illness was probably fatal in G6 and G7.

I'm happy for Patty, take the money while it's on the table. Probably means a trade coming though, hope it some Spurs connection like Hawks or Nuggets if Brown get the job.

heh game six he was stuck in the row behind the players. probably could've used some of those extra high fives for that last burst of energy!!

I'm happy for Patty. I think he is the type of player every team wants to have, I'd say he contributes a lot to good team chemistry.
Hopefully he'll play a bigger role next season, he's proven on the Olympics that he could be much more than a towel-waver. He just needs to find somebody to do it for him when he is on the floor

Best news I've heard since the Finals. Love the everything he brings to the team, both on and off the court. Kind of sucks he has been buried on the bench and if he were traded to a team where he could get more PT i would be all for it. Either way great guy, earned his contract on towel waving alone last season.

Patty is living the ultimate fan experience.

Actually, he's a little expensive for a 3rd/4th string point guard, but I don't mind him coming back.

Good news, though, I find the timing of it funny. If he wanted to reduce the chance of being moved I would have thought he would wait until the day after the draft. This is Probably what Boris is doing.

happy we got something settled quick. huge fan of the guy and i'm sure Boomersgold is elated. i'd like to keep him but if Spurs can send him somewhere for more playing time, possibly with Brett Brown, while we make some smart moves, then I'm for it.

Glad to hear. Not a big cap hit and can make for a useful little trade throw in. If not, talented guy & great teammate. Only way this could be a negative is if the Spurs fall a million short on a FA target.
