Position your ideals barely to the left of the Republicans knowing you'll keep winning elections due to how crazy the other side is. Obama had two years of a majority in both houses yet couldn't pass any major legislation outside of Obamacare, which isn't even real socialized healthcare. It's one big healthcare industry blowjob.
