Another bad year and you might see a repeat of late 80-90's for both Texas and aggsy.
Can't emphasize enough how important this season will be for the future of the program and the state.

Per Bleacher Report, looks like we might have a better chance than many think with Fournette.
"Michigan, I like Michigan. School-wise, they're more focused on grades than football. That's what I like about them. I think Jabrill made a good choice."
Fournette went on to say that he would like to visit Ann Arbor in the fall for an official visit, per Sullivan's report.
While this is potentially groundbreaking news for Brady Hoke and his staff, Fournette also talked about Texas, per Herndon's piece:
"Oh Texas, it's beautiful out there. I love Texas," Fournette told Rivals of his visit to Austin. "Me and coach (Mack) Brown, he's so laid back and he keeps it real with you. It's his approach. It's different. He'd rather be your friend before he's your coach."
Wherever he does end up, Fournette has star potential.

Per 24/7, 2015 OL Trevor Elbert of Rockwall-Heath will be back in Austin next month for an unofficial visit.
More from 2015 DT Daylon Mack on his recruitment (24/7). He's expected in Austin tomorrow with his parents:
“Everything with recruiting has been going good,” said Mack. “I’m holding off on committing now though. I just felt that I needed more time before I made my final decision, because once I commit, I'm completely done with recruiting.”
“It could definitely happen,” said Mack. “The others just have to have a great season and continue to recruit me hard. I also have to continue to get along with them all. All of their success this upcoming season, including Texas A&M, will have a big impact on my recruitment.”
“I think my mind could change and it’s possible,” he added. “People don’t recruit me as hard because I say Texas A&M is my top choice, but I feel like there is a possibility of a change if I got recruited hard enough.”
“Oh yeah (Texas is a good candidate to change his mind),” he said. “I feel like they are and Miami too if they started to recruit me. Texas was my childhood team and I love the staff there. With Miami I love the old players they had and how they dominated. Both schools definitely could make me change.”
“I’ll be going down there on Thursday,” Mack said. “It’s going to be me, my mom, brother and my dad going on the trip. The coaches said they are going to take us around the campus and let us see it, along with doing a few other things."
“I think it'll be a great time,” he added. “I always enjoy getting to talk with Coach (Bo) Davis, Coach (Mack) Brown and Coach (Stacey) Searels.”

ESPN 150 DB Arrion Springs, upon being told of Oregon sanctions: "Ahaha yeah." Deciding between Oregon, Texas next week.
2015 DT Daylon Mack has cancelled his visit to Austin tomorrow saying the family had an emergency, according to 24/7.
He's trying to re-schedule with Searels.
Not sure what that means, but I take that as he doesn't care. And he shouldn't because there was essentially no punishment.
Full list of "punishment" given to Oregon:

Yup, Arrion Springs is going to be a Duck.
Quotes from the father of the Foreman twins on where things stand with their recruitments (OrangeBloods):
"I was trying to get in contact with them to make everything official. D'Onta, his mind is made up about the University of Texas and him wanting to go ahead and commit there," Mr. Foreman said. "I guess the timing was just bad. The day he actually received the offer, that was the day they (the UT coaches) were going on vacation. Everyone has been gone, so he hasn't been able to make it official. But he's definitely going to commit to the University of Texas."
"I've spoken with coach (Larry) Porter. When a person commits, coach Brown would like to give his blessing on the commitment. That's really what we're waiting on."
"They didn't know if we (the family) would be on board with Texas, especially mom. One thing I can appreciate, when they recruit someone, they recruit the family. They wanted to make sure everything was good," Mr. Foreman said. "I've been to Texas a few times, seen the campus, met everyone. But mom had never been up there and toured the campus, shook hands and met everyone. They went up there, had a good time, felt at home with Texas and thought Texas was a good fit. Shortly after, D'onta was like, 'I'm ready to commit.'"
"We talked about that. I said, 'Are you solid on this. You don't want to take visits?' He said he Illinois or K-State would have been his next choice. But when Texas came, he knew that was where he wanted to go," Mr. Foreman said. "I think D'Onta is solid enough with Texas. Texas offered him at the position he wants to play, which is running back. A&M was looking at D'Onta as an outside linebacker with his size, speed, ability to cover out of the backfield. That's what they were looking at, but his heart is at playing running back. When Texas offered him at running back, he said 'I don't have to look any more. This is what I want.'"
"Before Texas offered, I saw the possibility of them not playing together. The frontrunner probably was K-state because they offered both of them," Mr. Foreman said. "When Texas came into the fold, there wasn't any more thinking for D'Onta. He was going to go to Texas, going to perform, do what he has to do."
"I think the end all, be all, I think Texas is the front runner (for Armanti) just because of the relationship he has with the coaches there and his brother. And we all like Texas. We've all been there, both his grandmothers have bee there, we all love Texas."
"Let me make this clear. Nobody trying to hold Texas hostage," Mr. Foreman said. "If I had my dream, it would be, let's commit and get this out of the way. Let's focus on your senior season and trying to win a state championship and avoid all the hoopla and unnecessary phone calls."
"That's why I told him to narrow it down to a top five. There's no need for September to roll around where colleges can start calling their phones, with them getting calls every day and night and you know you're not interested in their school. It's a waste of your time, a waste of their time."
"Armanti is strong headed. He's not going to be constricted to any time frame. His at ude is ... I'm going to take my time."
@DaylonMack
Not going to commit or even think about committing for a while.. Slowing the process down
Not too concerned since he has a long way until signing day, but this whole thing changed quick. Wonder what happened.
This is starting to look like DT Malcom Brown's recruitment.
Sounds like Daylon's family (Mom in particular) advised him to take his time and think things through and not make impulse decision considering he hasn't even started junior year. Think he slowed down and took advice to heart.
Oregon with the ultimate slap on the wrist. What a joke.
