pity bump
Would it be better if there were fifteen other posters telling him he's an idiot?
Cool~~~~~~~~~~~~
So what if Elmore James had never existed, would we still have had The Rolling Stones?
Probably, I think Chuck Berry was a bigger influence.
Well then you know nothing about The Rolling Stones and Brian Jones.
Well then you know nothing about The Rolling Stones and Keith Richards.
Brian Jones loved dem ol' blues though . . . and drugs . . . and tall, blonde chicks . . . and drugs.
Why do you continue to try snd talk about things you know nothing about?

Noone does the Slide quite like Elmore James. A truly unique Blues sound that was a massive influence on Brian Jones and the early Rolling Stones!

How about...ok you were right...ok?
How about . . . I never argued that Brian Jones was not influenced by Elmore James. Try to keep up, stupid.
How about what you actually said, ok?
Probably, I think Chuck Berry was a bigger influence.
Now show me where Chuck Berry was the bigger influense idiot.
"To me, Chuck Berry always was the epitome of rhythm and blues playing, rock and roll playing. It was beautiful, effortless, and his timing was perfection. He is rhythm supreme. He plays that lovely double-string stuff, which I got down a long time ago, but I'm still getting the hang of. Later I realized why he played that way--because of the sheer physical size of the guy. I mean, he makes one of those big Gibsons look like a ukulele!"
-- guitarist Keith Richards of The Rolling Stones

first paragraph, dummy
Is this necessary? Everybody knows Chuck Berry influenced the Stones. Cut the crap and stop following me around. OK, little man?
Don't know about The Stones do ya little man?

Elmore James also influenced many rock guitarists such as The Rolling Stones' Brian Jones (Keith Richards wrote in his book that at the time he met Brian Jones, Brian called himself Elmo Lewis, and that he wanted to be Elmore James), Canned Heat's Alan Wilson and Fleetwood Mac's Jeremy Spencer. John Mayall included
Chuck Berry was a minor influense on Keith Richards but who put the band together? Jones was obsessed with Elmore James, now who was the leader of the band?
Brian Jones died in a swimming pool in 1969, The Stones went on for decades continuing to be influenced by Chuck Berry.
Now scoot, little man. Ain't ya tired of gettin' schooled yet? You never get tired of following me around do ya midget?~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
This from....
Stone Alone by Bill Wyman
"I discovered Elmore James" said Brian later, "and the earth seemed to shutter on it's axis" So moved was he by James ability to bare his soul through music. So on returning home Brian went out an bought an electric guitar, so obessed with the blues, he sat for hours listening to any records he could find by Elmore James.
Well?
You are having an argument with no one. You know that, right?
Do you pay any attention at all?
I'll go slow....
Brian Jones formed the band, ok ya with me? He was totally/completely obsessed with Elmore James. Even called himself Elmo. Now since Brian Jones was a huge blues fan and worshipped Elmore James I'll ask you again....if not for Elmore James do we have The Rolling Stones.....now think little one, ok?
Not now that you finally figured it out, yes it was Elmore James not Chuck Berry who was the major influense.
