I imagine Avante's Dem Ol' Blues 101 class going a lot like his threads.
Not really…People from the film industry, editors, sound technicians often become teachers/ professors at University Film Schools once they retire…
Yes, really. People from the film industry, especially people like editors and sound technicians, typically got degrees from university film schools before they became hired in the film industry.
So an expert film editor or sound technician needs to be accredited by a University so the expert film editor or sound technician can then teach the University how it is done? Got It!![]()
Generally, a University will have as a prerequisite to be an instructor, an actual degree. Normally, this is a graduate level degree at that.
And by generally, I mean just about every ing time.
Sheesh! Now I know how Avante feels…
Am I the only person on this forum who knows how things work in the real world?
University- To Academy award winning film editor with thirty years of experience and employment…
We would like for you to teach a class on Motion Picture Film & Sound editing….But before you can join our staff you will need to get an advanced teaching degree…![]()
Academy award winning film editors might be excepted. The rest of the bbs wannabes, not so much.
You probably want to ever forget you paired your name with Avante, tbh.
There is a very high probability that said film editor already has an advanced degree in film production.
