Brown might be coaching in Boston.
Sports Illustrated's Ian Thomsen was a guest on Comcast SportsNet New England's "Sports Tonight" and he says that he believes the Boston Celtics will hire longtime San Antonio Spurs assistant Brett Brown as the next head coach of the team. Celtics Blog

Having Jim Boylen will be beneficial to the Spurs whenever the play the Heat.
This. Perhaps the Heat are the biggest reason why Pop and the FO hired Jim Boylan. I still think that the Spurs should try to improve their frontcourt via free agency. Tiago Splitter is soft as fuc* and gets his shots blocked by midgets.
Splitter and Baynes.
Popovich, on the other hand, looks delightful.
I welcome the hire but does he have the ability to give Splitter a pair of balls?
LMAO. That's what I'm asking myself.
Or is he capable of -slapping Pop?
That too.
Was hoping for PJ but maybe this guy will be good. Some new blood can't hurt. Lucky guy, he gets to work with Pop. I'm sure any assistant coach in the league would kill for an opportunity like this.
Holy crap, I totally had them mixed up.
"Including myself" concluded Vogel.
Great news, bring back PJ as well and we're set.
Larry Bird just said that losing him was a "big blow."
This guy has some good pedigree.
Our bigs outside of Duncan need all the help they can get. This looks like a smart hire as Tim will need some help and the other bigs fill some holes, but create others with their weaknesses. I'd imagine he is a good hire because the Spurs hire great minds in basketball and no doubt he has a better shot at becoming a head coach from Pop's bench then from Vogel's.
Maybe he'll have the guts to tell pop not to bench his best player with 28 secs left
How long before Playblair comes in and assures us it's to make Blair a starter again?

Jim Boylen hiring is official for Spurs. Brett Brown will be considered lead assistant, unless he gets a head coaching job elsewhere.
Now that Brown has bolted too, perhaps Pop should re-hire PJ?
