Asik should be incredibly easy to move. He not only performed well, but I'd say he exceeded expectations.

Ok, the point is that they would be incredibly dangerous.
Meh.. Howard has lots of excuses for his ty play.. He'll just find more in Houston..

What were his excuses when he was in the finals with ORL?

Dwight Howard in Houston would be terrible for the Spurs. He would very likely flourish there. They have good passers, great shooters and would bascially be a way more talented version of Orlando.
Even on a better team, I'd still lay even odds that he goes all emo and implodes. Dude's head just isn't right.

I wouldn't argue with the last part too much at all. But people, especially fans are fickle. They very easily forget how good players can be when they have a couple injuries and are in a bad spot.

No, you're definitely right about that -- for example, with all the injuries he'd had, I'd forgotten how good Bogut could be -- and he still wasn't even 100%. Wade is another guy who can make you forget he's Dwyane Wade with his lackluster play, then make you remember again in a hurry.

So yeah, if I were Houston, I wouldn't hesitate to gamble on him, because Houston is tired of being sorta good every year and wants to contend. A high risk, high reward guy who you know has been a Top 5 player in the past is the right move. But man, I'd be scared as of betting my franchise on a guy with that head on his shoulders.

"The East Blew chunks and getting our asses kicked by Kobe wasn't fun"..

You realize this guy on top of his horrible at ude also has a bad back right? You think he is going to fit in with James Harden of all people?? Not too many low posts plays are getting called in Houston with Harden bringing the ball up and chucking for his scoring average.. Down the stretch especially because Howard can't make a FT if his life were on the line..

His best days are clearly behind him IMO.. He now has a back injury that may linger as he gets closer to 30 and he showed his true colors under pressure.. Howard wants to have fun and make his millions.. Winning is not very important to him..

, I'd settle for Dejuan Blair's brain. Wouldn't it be awesome to see what Dejuan could do if he had another 6 inches and both ACLs?

I think Houston is his best option, but my gut says he will sign with the Lakers.

I'd never want to live in Houston, but it'd be a good fit for him.
Yeah, the problem is he has to live in Dallas or Houston which are like a step above Detroit.

Dude doesn't have any problems that aren't fixable. Unless he's got some lingering physical issue that's turned him into Amare, he's definitely worth a max contract.

People seem to have lowered their standards on what a max deal buys you. To me I want that to buy me a franchise player I can build a championship team around..

    That isn't Howard..

So by that standard, David Robinson isn't a max player.

Dallas makes no sense, they have Dirk and ? And Dirk is past his prime. Harden is one man show, in the era of super teams that's not enough. If he joins the Spurs, they are gonna be favorites for the next two seasons, and after that, the core of Howard, Parker and Leonard is solid, as long as Pop stays around.
