    There isn't really some awesome consensus stud where they were. Big gambles with not a ton of upside. It's not like he would be blowing anything at this point unless someone beats the odds and turns into a star from the 13th pick on.

    Also, its obvious the guys the Mavs are picking for other guys, they did not want. So it cuts down the actual number of spots they really moved back. Worst case, they moved essentially back 3 spots (not the 5 from 13-18) so it's even better in that regard.
