I think Springs might commit to the ducks, but I don't see him signing with them, I think once he takes that big ass road trip to Oregon he is going to think twice about sticking with them.

Quotes from WR Emanuel Porter after committing to Texas (OrangeBloods):

"It was really crazy. Everyone was calling my phone. I wasn't expecting it to be this big of deal. It shocked me," Porter said. "I really don't even know where it came from. Someone said some dude said I committed, but I didn't even talk to that guy."

"My mom thought I was moving to fast. She just wanted to look over stuff, make sure I was making the right decision. Then she wanted to meet the coaches too."
"We visited the campus, talked to all the coaches. After that, she liked what she saw, said she was up for it, said to do it when I was ready to,"
Porter said. "I committed the day after that. I called coach (Mack) Brown."

"It feels really good. It's a lot of stress off my shoulders,"
Porter said. "All the pressure is off of me now."

"It's like they want everyone to be the best person they can be on and off the field,"
Porter said. "They just want everyone to be their best."

"I can bring a lot of stuff. Leadership. I'll do anything they need me to do to help the team win,"
Porter said. "My strength is really my blocking. That's my biggest strength because the majority of other wide receivers don't block. It's equal to block for a running back or the other wide receivers if I'm not getting the ball, and I want them to do the same for me."

"I'm just working out, trying to get better with my routes. My commitment is solid, really solid."

More quotes from 2015 OL Connor Lanfear (HornsNation):

“He (Stacey Searels) said to me, ‘Connor, do you want to be a Longhorn?’ ” Lanfear recalled. “I said, yes sir, yes I do. And he said, ‘All right. We’ll be talking pretty soon.’ The whole time, I was trying to contain myself.”

“They like how I work and that I’m a nasty player, but a nice guy off the field,”
Lanfear said. “I can turn off the aggression and be well-mannered off the field. I finish blocks and I’m a nasty player, and I think that’s what put me ahead in his book.”

“The thing with the commitment is, this is the start of a whole new era for me,”
Lanfear said. “It’s not the end. Just because I committed doesn’t mean I’ll quit working. I’m planning on working even harder now, so that when the time comes that I’m playing for Texas, I’ll be ready.”

“He’s exactly what you’d want all football players to be,”
LaHue said. “He’s a gentleman off the field, a team-first guy. But when you put him on the field, he’s a compe or. He gets after it. He’s got a little mean streak in him.”

“The night before Texas camp, I remember praying,”
Lanfear said. “I said, ‘I want this so bad, I’ve worked for it, and ever since I was a little kid I’ve wanted it my entire life.’ I had that feeling in my gut that something good might happen. And sure enough, that offer came.”

“It’s so far in the future, but I’ve played that scenario through my head multiple times already,”
Lanfear said. “The first time in the locker room, seeing my name and picture on one of the lockers. Getting assigned my number. The first day I run out of the tunnel onto the field in burnt orange, seeing everyone holding up the horns."

"It’s just going to be such a great moment. I can’t wait, I really can’t.”

    Latest with 2015 S Justin Dunning (24/7):

“Those (A&M and Texas) were two of my favorite schools growing up,” Dunning said. “That's probably what it is.”

“Texas, that was always my favorite school most of the time. It was fun watching them,” Dunning said. “A&M, they have a great environment. I've been to a game and it was pretty loud.”

“When she (Dunning's mother) went on the (Texas) visit she felt like she got the full experience,” Dunning said. “She thinks it's the total package. She thinks it's the best school for me, I guess.”

“She still wants me to go where I want to go,” Dunning said. “I'm going to do what I want to do.”

“I'm thinking whatever happens happens,” Dunning said. “I guess they're trying to make it work (the "East Texas Six"), but it's not a priority or anything.”

“I'm not in a rush or anything,” Dunning said. “I'm taking it as it goes.”

24/7 saying the Foremans already informed A&M that Armanti won't be going there. Supposedly the family sat down last night and a decision was made. What a weird week it has been.

S Arrion Springs talks about his last visit to Texas going down tomorrow (24/7):

“I don't have any expectations going in,” Springs said. “I'm going let them (Texas) give it their last shot. They told me that no matter what they were going to go down swinging until the end, so I'm going to give them a shot.”

“He's (Duane Akina) the biggest factor as to why Texas has been under consideration,” Springs said. “He's a great person and a great coach. His body of work speaks for itself. He's a father figure and you see why his players respect him because you can go to him for anything.”

“Until it's over you can't be biased towards one school,” Springs said. “You have to listen others, especially when it's a school you're considering.”

“It was exactly what Coach (John) Neal told me,”He said all of the Oregon haters were blowing it out of proportion. They didn't think they were going to get in serious trouble and they didn't."

“That was the only thing holding back Oregon,” he added. “If they really got in trouble I was going to have to rethink things.”

“That's what I wanted to do. I wanted to do it over Twitter or have it be on a national stage,” he said. “I was going to do it on ESPN regardless (he's playing the Under Armour game in January. The Opening is perfect.”

It will be something to keep an eye on if Wyatt continues to pursue JUCO WR D'haquille Williams.

Quotes from the Foreman twins after committing to Texas (24/7):

"I just felt like it was best decision for both of us," D'Onta said. "We get to continue to play together and keep pushing each other. We can back each other up on bad days."

"All of our life the only thing we've known is to play together. Now we get that chance at the next level and we're very excited. We all felt comfortable there. I love it, my brother loves it and my entire family loves Texas. It's the place for us."

"I made the decision in my head a long time ago that Texas was right for me. I knew it was where I wanted to be," Armanti said. "I considered Texas A&M quite a bit and they went hand in hand, but I like Texas a lot more."

"The reasons for picking the Longhorns were just a lot stronger. I compared both programs and knew that Texas was the better choice of the two. It's where I want to be."

"I knew within a week after I went to their camp that Texas was the place," D'Onta said. "I love Texas."

"I felt like it was the best offer for me. It's close to home and I felt like it was, without a doubt, the best place to go and play," D'Onta said. "Our parents can come see us play all the time, too. My entire family loves the Texas program and it's just an opportunity I couldn't pass up."

Update on DE Victor Evans of Dallas Skyline (HornsNation):

“They (Ole Miss and Texas) are both places where I can fit into the scheme of the defense,” Evans said. “They are places where the coaches are real cool. I can come and play. They are both places that I can have a good education at. They both have my major.”

“Education is real important to the whole decision,”
he said. “I want to major in sports science. That is kind of the basics of becoming a trainer and that is kind of what I want to do if football doesn’t work out for me. I want to be a trainer for a college or NFL team.”

“I know that Robert Nkemdiche plays the same position as me,”
Evans said of the nation’s No. 1 player in 2013, who signed with Ole Miss. “I’m going to end up playing more linebacker than DE, or I would be a stand-up DE on the opposite side of him.”

“Texas is more hand-in-the-dirt DE, which is something I am better at than the other things,”
he said. “It is something that is easier to understand and that’s what I like about how they want to bring me in.”

“Honestly it is a pretty cool thing that they (Ole Miss) are getting top high school players,”
he said. “But at the end of the day it doesn’t really mean anything if you have all of those high school players and you don’t make a difference. It’s good that they are getting it but I would go for my own personal reasons.”

“One doesn’t have the edge right now because I haven’t visited Ole Miss,”
he said. “Once I do then I’ll pretty much make my decision. But if I had to say right now, Texas has the edge over Ole Miss.”

2015 RB Rodney Anderson of Katy talks more about his unofficial visit to Texas a few weeks ago (HornsNation):

“I came and had lunch with coach Mack Brown, and it was really good,” Anderson said. “We talked about the school, and it was really nice. Coach [Larry] Porter had lunch with us, too. I like him a lot. He’s really good at connecting with you. We talked about the campus and what all they have to offer, what their plans were for the upcoming year, stuff like that.”

“I thought that was pretty cool to be offered by Texas,”
he said. “I was a Texas fan growing up. I had a couple teams growing up, really, but they were one of them.”

“Everything was great. It was top-notch stuff,”
Anderson said. “It was really cool to see everything. I like their campus and how their coaches treat their players. I’m excited to see more of their coaches.”

“It’s really early for me, so I’m just waiting to look at more schools before I make my decision,”
    Anderson said.

“I mean, everyone has told me it’s a strong 2015 class for running backs,” he said. “I need to take my choice slowly and make sure I pick the right school.”
