I made a thread about this kid a few days ago when rumors surfaced that we might take him.

Didn't want a Euro draft-and-stash but whatever.. Hope he pans out.

Another draft and stash. Disappointing, he'll likely never see the court with Timmy and Manu.

I bet his personality turned teams off cause he definitely had talent. But the whole y, loud-mouthed thing thing turns teams away, especially when you're not a top talent.

There was no one at #28 who could help us right now, so we might as well try to get some help down the road. Besides we get to keep all of our cap for players who can help us right now instead of tying some up in a guy who won't contribute during the playoffs.

Exactly. Might as well draft and stash. No draft pick in this spot would get any run next year anyway.

Crabbe doesn't play any D and Jamaal Franklin has a y at ude so I'm not surprised we passed on them. The Bulls ruined everything when they took Tony Snell though.

Players and their agents like to mention the Spurs as a possible destination--but it's only a ploy to drive up their value. We've never brought in a first rank FA--EVER.

Bingo, highly unlikely we would get anyone that can help this year or even next and the window has to be viewed as now!

So good pick, the guy is an extremely long, fast, athletic, can handle ball, good outside shot, can block shots. Could be an excellent long SF or small ball PF. Best case is little bit smaller version of Bosh with better outside shot and ball handling skills. A lot less stiff looking than Mahini.

I think there was no doubt the Spurs were going to do a draft and stash. This might be Duncan's last year so they will make an all in push for the championship. No time for developing rookies nor will they want to commit cap space to a rookie.

As for the pick, don't think anyone knows how he'll pan out. Just stash him and hope for the best.

LMAO at you guys ing, first off we are saving cap space foe free agency, second, there was no player that would make an impact enough for us to win it all, lastly, this guy legit. He looks like he is a guy who woulda been drafted between #5-#15 had he been a college player in the U.S.

anyone thinking the Spurs are going to sign anyone worth a damn in free agency

Good pick tho, I think he'll be a good role player to either back up Kawhi or play some small ball minutes.

We don't need a top FA just a couple that can actually stay on the court with Miami. Guys whose testes won't shrink when the gets heavy (e.g. Bonner, Splitter).
