Did you just play act like you were physically striking another poster?
Very unmodlike meltdown tbh.
I've proven I know more about the number of atheists in the world than you and your bigger mouth.
Where did I ever mention atheists in the world, try...America...ok?
ah, right.
I've proven I know more about the number of atheists in America than you and your bigger mouth.
If you don't believe in the magic man in the sky, the magic man under the ground doesn't make sense either. Nor do magic spirits.
Sorry. Nice stories from our species' youth, that we will happily cast aside.
That is actually the point.
Truth matters.
The only real way to get to the truth is evidence.
Either there is a magic unicorn in the box or there is not. I could believe all day that there is a magic horned equine there, or that Santa will bring me loot, but my belief does not have any bearing on the truth of magic box unicorns or Santa.
We learn about things based on that. There is no evidence for some god/God/gods creating the universe and/or us.
You can either have your opinion based on evidence or not. "Faith" is an excuse people use when they don't have a good reason to believe in something.
Fallacy: Burden of Proof

Description of Burden of Proof
Burden of Proof is a fallacy in which the burden of proof is placed on the wrong side. Another version occurs when a lack of evidence for side A is taken to be evidence for side B in cases in which the burden of proof actually rests on side B. A common name for this is an Appeal to Ignorance. This sort of reasoning typically has the following form:
Claim X is presented by side A and the burden of proof actually rests on side B.
Side B claims that X is false because there is no proof for X.
"God exists"
"I don't think there is evidence to prove that."
"Oh yeah, prove that he does not exist!"
Do you base all of your opinions and world view on flawed logic, or just this one thing?
Read the rest of the thread and you'll see almost every post of his contains a logical fallacy.
The devil? People still believe in such a concept?
Why won't god heal amputees?
I can't believe yall still talking bout this ...
Do we have the cell phone today? Sure, so how come we didn't have the cell phone a 1000, 500, 100, years ago?
Isn't it convenient that science assigns the "burden of proof" on the other side so they never have to prove that a god does in fact exist?
It's not science, it's simple logic that assigns burden of proof to the believer, dumbass.
Yes, I remember freshman 101 - but the issue is that you are applying this same thing to something completely different. If you are talking about widgets or some other - of course this computes...
Trying to apply this same logic to an absolute mystery is like trying to figure out a math problem by reading lines of shakepeare. Does not compute. Never has. Never will.
Dumbass. (since this is your preferred way to answer/respond to serious questions)
It's not obvious?
That attempt at a metaphor is terrible. You're lying if you claim you took freshman logic.
It's my preferred way of saying you're seriously dumb because you repeatedly fail to grasp simple logic that is being explained to you by a number of different posters.Dumbass. (since this is your preferred way to answer/respond to serious questions)
And you're an emotionally weak labeler that can't even live up to his own rules of enlightened living and labeling.
You're obviously a dumbass like SBM.
I'm sure someone else with more patience than I have will be here shortly to explain why your cell phone question is ridiculously stupid.
Do I really have to explain it to you?
Well, you are obviously still butthurt and angry so when you'd like to learn something about trying to apply logic to an absolute mystery - let me know.
If you'd rather be your same angry name-caller and labeler - carry on.
