Marc Stein: In a bigger surprise than Boris opting into his final year, he opted for a salad in the buffet line instead of the breaded shrimp
Sam Amico: Hearing the Pistons could make serious charge, and be serious contender, for free agent swingman Andre Iguodala (Nuggets). #NBA Twitter SamAmicoFSO
Ken Berger: As expected, the Mavs' O.J. Mayo will not exercise his player option and will be an unrestricted free agent on July 1. Twitter @KBergCBS
Ken Berger: Also as expected, Charlotte's Ben Gordon has decided to pick up his $13.2M player option and will not hit the free-agent market. Twitter @KBergCBS
Marc Stein: I'm told Grizzlies G Jerryd Bayless, in mild surprise, has elected to invoke $3.1 million player option for next season to stay in Memphis Twitter @ESPNSteinLine

Gregory Popovich @FakeCoachPop 20h Diaw's opting out. Sea World has more cap space.

Nevermind, Diaw's opting-in. This would be awkward if I possessed emotions.
Ben Gordon is going to be making 13.2 million dollars. Classic.
spurs should get oj mayo...he could take gary neals place
I always thought that Iguodala is a little overrated and overpaid so no surprise that he opted out. The big questions are is he going after more money or is he going after a championship since he's not a little kid anymore?
Not surprised about OJ Mayo either considering the internal problems that he had with Rick Carlisle.
No surprise about Ben Gordon either. He knows that he will not earn that type of money elsewhere.
I am disappointed in Jerryd Bayless. I thought he was one of the few good candidates out there to sign with the Spurs and take the backup PG role.
Back to China..

Scratch that on JR Smith. Swish should be more clear in his tweets.
Doubt that
Looks like they are going into full rebuild mode
Fify ^
My younger brother told me he saw a few tweets last night, that reported the San Antonio Spurs team is the favorite landing spot for both Al Jefferson, and Iggy. I was too lazy to look into it.
Cuz Marc Stein is so skinny himself right?![]()
That would be awesome. Even though that mentioned scenario wouldn't solve the backup PG situation I would still make that deal in a heartbeat.
Epic fail if Iggy ends up in Detroit. That team has NOTHING going for it.....
I just made that up. Not a real tweet.
So no salad for Boris..![]()
That would be ridiculous is MS actually tweeted that.
Get real, not enough cap space.
You're right about that. What concerns me, is that I'm not even sure that Pop & RC think they have a back-up PG problem. I like Cojo, but it just doesn't look like he could ever consistently run an offense. I still believe De Colo is best back-up, he showed promise though some games, and it could be a matter or playing time and confidence that was holding him back.
Either way, that tweet had me kind of excited.
favorites for each, individually. not favorites to land them together.
either way, i'm not a fan of dumping a big contract onto iguodala
Well, I'm only telling you what I heard/saw. & nobody said anything about BOTH players coming to SA, just that both players would love to end up here.
