Kool Aid Man
You deserve a ing free meal at your favorite Diner in Vegas...It was you and only you that correctly said before it all went down that LA should stay clear of Dwight...you were 100% spot on and you've never wavered.![]()
A genius
Kool Aid Man
I hope they get him...Jim Buss needs to be taught a lesson on how to survive post daddy...right now he's stuck in up mode...Kobe won't sniff another ring...until Buss is forced to get rid of Dantoni..right now he's trying to gamble like his old man did and he's not good at it...Dantoni is not a good fit for Dwight..and of those morons can't see that then let's start losing NOW!!!
^I don't understand the vitriol and dislike for D'Antoni. Christ, give him a training camp to ins ute his and a season to implement it. Where the is the fire?
We are in a sea change. This is not cyclical. This is structural.
Yes. There ain't a damn thing wrong with D'antoni. Hope they give him a 5 year extension ^![]()
Oh, yeah, like you have room. You've been simmering for what now, years. Your coach finally gave up the ghost and blamed the officiating this last session just like everybody else does at defeat. Real progress.
My coach is in Charlotte, leading us into perpetual agony, as he's supposed to, you asshole you.
3 things...
1.) track record....he ed up badly in NY...I think that's what did it for me...everywhere he goes doesn't seem he knows how to adjust...he carries around his old Suns play book trying to plug a square peg into a round hole. Doesn't seem to know how to play to his players strengths he focuses on pick-n-roll only and that seems to be the extent of basketball knowledge. He's living in a by-gone era when it comes to coaching. Not having the foresight to rest Kobe for at least 1 ing min...not 1 dam minute..Really? No excuse for that...no excuse
2.) Doesn't emphasize defense. Seems he thinks it's an after thought. In all of his coached teams he's never brought in a defensive specialist to help him in this weak area of his...he just expects to players to run and outscore opponents..this worked with a young Nash but does he not realize the personnel he has now.
3.) Buss ed up...he hired Dantoni because of Nash..Not that I wanted Phil back but the way it all went down proves they had no plan or idea just what the they were doing and now it's coming back to bite them in the ass...They hired Dantoni just to spite Phil and that's a fact no one denies...Now that Nash is done...Gasol is done...and we have Blake as back-up PG just what in the does Dantoni bring to the table...even if we keep Howard Dantoni doesn't like running his offense through big men so what is the purpose of trying to keep Howard...he's not 1st option nor is he 2nd option...if you're going to keep Dwight then it's a no brainer Dantoni needs to go...
that it's for me...they gave him more time than they gave Mike Brown over 2 seasons...
^A lot of people, honestly and deceivingly want to blame him for Kobe, but, that is small minded. One can snap an achilles stepping off the curb. It was his time. We've been extremely fortunate with injuries. It was our time, our turn in the . I'll be eternally grateful for all the years of grace & fortune. We've been blessed.
I respect a coach who will tax his players with max minutes, challenging them to go on to the end. Look what happened to Pop when he ed around with the minutes. It bit him in the ass. A coach who will employ players not to so much to do good as to not do bad is my kind of fellow. It's not so much the good things that lead to victory, but, the lack of bad things.

ADDENDUM:::Phil didn't want to coach. Buss & Kupchak saw thru his happy horse in the interview and refused to play pattycakes with him. It's over with Phil, guys. It's over. He's finished. As it turns out he was finished the moment he had the cancer scare. That changed him, like it changed Rudy. Rudy tried, but, once you've been approached by death, you want to go home and cling to the wife. Sitting around in hotel rooms in the nite is untenable any longer.
it's not about an Achilles Heel it's about being a reasonable coach...soldiers not taking a break in war means someone dies..someone is gonna up if they don't take 5 mins...no excuse for not resting your star player and then expecting him to play both ends at a high level...Pop overplayed his hand but it's not the same as giving your top guy a breather...Kobe is not 25 he's 35....same as an erection...I can't bust 4 nuts in a row like I used to maybe 2 but not 4...
For you it is about the Achilles. You're in denial. You're angry over it and bitter. Resting him for 5 minutes was not going to prevent this injury. It was our turn for calamity. It's been our turn for years. We've just been fortunate to dodge the pickle. We're in it now. And we're going to have to sit still for it. We've no other choice. You need to be honest with yourself, Kool. This was not Mike's fault. Nobody is at fault for that injury. Kobe wanted to play max minutes. He felt he could trust himself more than the roster we concocted. And so did Mike. I have no problem with that belief or it's execution. I'm not going to sell out D'Antoni. There is no reasonable account to do so. None. Just seat of the pants, immature parroting of fandom.
2004 still hurts as a Laker fan...we had no business losing that year to the Pissed Ons.
Don't disagree on Phil.....he actually checked out after he got to 10....11 was just icing on the cake....
but Buss and Mitch have lost their way....they're not scouting talent these days and determining the fit based on needs they're looking for big names...and it's biting us in the ass....
Not trading Gasol for Rondo was down right silly....now we're ed and stuck with that loser...
I can live with injuries...but Dantoni has no spine...in fact he says post injury: "How can I tell Kobe what to do".
Please get me a real coach in here....again injury aside...5 minutes of rest means the world in basketball...Kobe is pig headed...you cannot allow him that much leeway till it's self defeating and harmful to himself...and after we went down Dantoni didn't have a clue what to do after that....he has no play book....except what he's still carrying around from his days in Phoenix...he came to LA and said ok...Let's just let Kobe run the offense...I dont trust the guy...he didn't do anything last year to gain my trust...
Boston wouldn't trade with us if you put a Glock to Ainge's head. No way. Uh, uh.
We're in a trough right now. Nobody wants Gasol. I'm sure we've shopped him, but, everybody is wise to his limitations & age. We're stuck.
I read an article from yesterday that touched on the notion of signing & trading Howard. For the first time Mitch did not dismiss that notion out of hand. That is what they'll attempt to do before the 10th of July.
I will not cast down Jim Buss. Not after his insistence on Bynum not once, but, twice, the second time repudiating Kobe to do it. His insistence garnered us 15 & 16. That is a fact. I don't forget that about Jim Buss. Ever.
I am ticked off at Mitch and a smidge bitter. Over his handling of Odom. Odom was at prime when we ran him off. It's unforgiveable of Kupchak to have done that. But, I won't cast him down for it. Everybody fails.
Kook, I mean Kool, you are going to have to take this time in history for our franchise as you took the preceding decade. If you don't, then you're a piss pot loser.
You just figured that out?
Nah man, think it'll be Davis.
Kool is my friend, my wife's paramour so I have to give him some wiggle room.
you're being as 2-faced as they come...No? Did you admonish Kobe to sit back and accept when he was running with Kwame and Smush...No? of course you didn't you applauded his efforts for holding Jerry accountable..No?..now that I'm part of a contingent putting heat on Dantoni you act as if I'm defaming a secret admirer you once held in esteem..No? ...this isn't 2000..my guy has 2-3 yrs left tops...do what floats your boat but I'll be dam if I'm gonna sit around my vintage stoogies in silence eating crumpets and sipping tea...maintaining the status quo is not for people like me...it's people like me that keep Laker Nation moving forward..we don't surrender or accept the idea...
Brown & Parker failed, Kook, I mean Kool. Give Mike a chance to fail before you demand his ouster.
You're in denial about Kobe's injury. Until you come to grips with it you're haywire in conversation. And this could go as Magic/HIV went:::over the cliff. You need to prepare for that distinct possibility. But, you still haven't even accepted the injury to start with.
Grow up.
Mike has failed!!! and he's shown no intellectual ability that would give me confidence...his next move will be to bring in his brother as an assistant coach
I think you have some misplaced loyalty to Dantoni that's now surfacing....you're providing him nothing but excuses and cover...why didn't you feel this way about Mike Brown he never had a full season either and yet you were pleased with his ouster....
In summary I rooted for the Spurs in the finals so that disproves your theory? I had to come to painful reality before accepting that...and if that isn't acceptance of then I don't know what is...
My ass. I saw it. Your tongue was firmly in cheek. Don't give me that .
