another monkey baller to the Clippers
The Toronto Raptors have joined the Orlando Magic at the head of the list of known suitors for Los Angeles Clippers guard Eric Bledsoe, according to sources close to the process.
Sources told ESPN.com that the talks between the Raptors and Clippers are still in the exploratory stage, but the Raptors’ interest in L.A.’s prized young point guard is said to be significant.
The Raptors have been openly shopping forward Andrea Bargnani for months and would try, sources say, to include Bargnani in any deal for Bledsoe, which wouldn’t necessarily dissuade the Clippers, given their longstanding need for a big man who can stretch the floor. But sources add that Toronto guard DeMar DeRozan is the Raptor most likely to tempt the Clippers, which falls in line with L.A.’s interest in Arron Afflalo in their Bledsoe talks with Orlando.
Some rival executives believe that the Raptors are prepared to part with DeRozan — recipient of a $40 million contract extension last October — in the wake of Rudy Gay’s arrival and the front-office change that ushered out Bryan Colangelo (who authorized DeRozan’s new deal) and ushered in Masai Ujiri.

Not buying it, wouldn't be shocked if they're just leaking this to drive up the possible return in a trade with Orlando, tbh....
Afflalo and a 1st is better. AA can actually play a skilled game and isn't just an athlete with length. Contract isn't as costly, either.
I can't imagine they are going to waive Lowry, would they? He's a damn productive player on a pretty reasonable contract. He is only owed 1M of his 6M though if he's waived by July 15th.
I would imagine they would trade him though and get something for him.
Yeah Masai Ujiri is going ot trade DeRozan for that overrated monkey Bledsoe
He is not Colangelol
It's not a bad deal in theory. DeRozan, Gay and Ross don't seem to be able to fit together. Moving someone for a better fit isn't a bad idea, and DeRozan would be the best.
I don't like the deal for the teams, though. DeRozan's shot selection is not what you want on a team dominated by a great point-guard and two solid (and above average in Griffin's case) bigs. The Raptors need someone to play the four for them, and unless Lowery wants to leave, he's the type of point-guard they should keep.
It could work for them if there are other moves involved, but I don't think either team gets appreciably better in this deal.
Masai about to rape the Clips if it's true![]()
The Raptors need to do whatever they can to make that deal happen. Then they can deal Lowery and/or DeRozan for a power-forward/picks.
1 kent for another, nothing to see here, move along
