Zimmerman was following Martin because he was acting su ious. If you take the time to watch Zimmerman's reenactment video, GZ says he would observe TM standing on the grass near a residence as if casing the place. GZ wanted to be able to give TM's location to the police which is exactly what the police want you to do.
GZ states that in the course of trying to locate him, TM walked up to him and sucker punched him. It escalated to the point where GZ had no choice but to shoot him in order to save his life. Before you call GZ a liar, watch the video. Point out specifically where you thing GZ is lying.

yea only way i see cowardman getting a movie is if CMT makes a straight to TV film. no theater would take the risk of showing a movie about cowardman profiling, stalking and killing a teen. all them racists in one theater? it would look like this:

GZ said he saw TM at one point just standing on the grass near a residence looking around, in the pouring rain. Not illegal, but certainly su ious.
Like I said earlier, GZ wasn't on watch at the time. He was acting as a concerned citizen trying to get the location of a su ious person so he could relay that info to the police. Upon being told by the police dispatcher that they don't need him to follow the suspect, he replied "OK", turned around and headed back to the truck.
You watched the video so you know what GZ said happened after that. He didn't ID himself as a NW volunteer probably because he wasn't officially on duty at the time, and also TM didn't give time to say much, sucker punching soon after they met.

I never saw it stated anywhere whether the gun safety was on or off. Did you make that up? Besides, that's a personal choice by someone legally licensed to carry a gun.
