Knicks appear close to acquiring Andrea Bargnani from Toronto, per source. NY offering Camby, Novak, 2 picks (1st rd/2nd rd).
Knicks
Carmelo requesting that trade which required half the team to be traded
the Ghost of Isaiah
This is being done to appease Ittalian population in NY right?

Don't understand this move by the Knicks... giving up Novak and a 1st round pick for a backup Center?
And this almost guarantees the Knicks won't be able to afford to re-sign J.R. Smith.
giving up a first rounder too. I just noticed that. Holy that is dumb.
Yeah. Fleeced the knicks in that Carmelo trade too![]()
LOL how many low percentage chuckers does that team need? Oh well, at least he's a better playoff performer than JR Smith.
Bustnani and Melo on the same team might have them competing for prime lottery position in 2014.
Chandler Bargnani Melo JR Felton.
Bargnani's ability to shoot both off the catch and add in a little self created off the dribble stuff will be a huge improvement for the Knicks. That first rounder will be a late pick and who cares about Novak or Camby. That's like trading Bonner and TMac and a 1st for an actual player in Bargnani as bad as some of you think he is, I quite frankly put him closer to a Galinari / Ryan Anderson than to a total scrub.
i heard two first rounders..
If its 2 first rounders then yeah total overpayment. 1 I think it's a decent trade for the Knicks.
http://www.nytimes.com/2013/07/01/sp...=tw-share&_r=0The Knicks are offering a package built around Marcus Camby, Steve Novak and two future draft picks, one in the first round and one in the second.
You don't give away a first round pick to take back a ty player on a ty contract. If anything the Craptors should be giving them a pick.
He will be their starting PF I believe and put Melo at SF. Melo was awesome as a PF but I guess they don't like it for too long of stretches.
Yup. It's not that horrific of a contract (only 11M avg for 2 years so it's short) but the point remains. I think there was some decent interest in Bargs behind the scenes for this to happen. Maybe teams like him as a 3rd offensive option if you can cover up his defense (which Tyson does).
JR opted out. He's probably gonna get his money somewhere else.
