Asik might be available. But too expensive for what he brings IMO
His contract is too big!
I live 15 minutes from BH. Let me go check it out, see what the decision is.
I literally make fun of Monta Ellis every day. Absolutely comical that were thinking about going after him. He's a straight up jacker. Nothing more.
The complete anti-spur. Him and JR Smith are the last two players on planet Earth that I could ever in my wildest dreams imagine in a Spurs uniform.
Monta could take over from Neal and the backup PG position, playing 15 minutes at PG and 15 minutes at SG if he came here. I could see him fitting role wise but not salary wise.
Can't wait to knock the Rockets out of playoffs next summer.
Great, so i guess they are not after Bernard and Mkhitaryan anymore...
HOU is not messing around. Pulling out the big guns.
So are they now going to inform the public whenever Dwight takes a ?
"Teams lining up to blow Howard." When is this headline going to come out.
But Seriously, at least we can say the Spurs aren't bunch boot-licking idiots like these guys are.
If the Spurs can somehow keep Splitter & land any combo of Jack/Nate & JR/Red , I'd be very happy.
The New Orleans Pelicans are looking to upgrade the small forward position and ESPN.com's Marc Stein reports they met with Tyreke Evans on Sunday night just after the new salary cap year began.
And then we had TNT/NBA.com's David Aldridge follow up with this tweet: "... Told they will have an offer sheet in hand--a big one."
The Pelicans should have around $7.3 million in salary cap after they acquire Jrue Holidayfrom the Philadelphia 76ers. A first-year salary around that amount isn't too high and there is a good chance the Sacramento Kings will match that amount. Evans may be seeking an annually salary around $10 million.
The Pelicans are showing interest in Chris Copeland and Andre Iguodala.
The Houston Rockets released Aaron Brooks and Carlos Delfino on Sunday before their contracts became guaranteed for 2013-14. Both players should draw plenty of interest and Brooks may land the first deal.
According to the New York Daily News, the New York Knicks and Brooks have a "mutual interest" in each other.
The Knicks are in need of help at point guard as Jason Kidd retired to become the Brooklyn Nets head coach and Pablo Prigioni may not return. Currently the only point guard under contract is Raymond Felton.
Should Brooks agree to a deal with New York, it will likely be for just the league minimum
Howard going to H-town helps the Spurs.
The Lakers have no FA money whether they re-sign Howard or not.
Howard soaks up FA money only if he goes elsewhere. If he does, the Spurs can become players for some of the remaining FAs.
thanks God we are not. news are the Lakers are getting creepy and a Dallas resto offers chicken wingsplus he hates the Spurs jersey right?
It is hard to imagine Dwight Howard wearing Spurs jersey though
