Greg Oden is receiving interest from the San Antonio Spurs, Dallas Mavericks, Indiana Pacers and Memphis Grizzlies, among others.
The Cleveland Cavaliers, Miami Heat and Boston Celtics have been linked to Oden over the past year.
Oden is in a "good place" mentally right now, according to a source.
Oden will not rush to sign with an NBA team.
Oden, 25, has not played since 2009 due to constant knee injuries.

If we can acquire Oden, a two or three team trade with Portland will be more likely to occur. Depending on how expensive Tiago gets and who third team will be.

I don't think there is much of a chance of Spurs acquiring Oden though.

Wouldn't be bad as the 6th big at the minimum. If he can tap into 10% of his potential that he had, it'll be more than what the Spurs can hope for.

Seriously, I think the Spurs should consider him. The reason is because nobody is better than Pop at managing player's minutes and giving them rest. If we can keep Tiago Splitter and sign Greg Oden to a cheap contract (at least more than what the cHeat can offer) then that will be fool's gold.

If Oden signs with another team like the cHeat, they would probably expect too much out of him, overplay him in minutes, and then the inevitable happens. If Pop can manage to handle Kawhi's jumper knees problem then I think Pop is more than capable of handling Greg Oden with caution. Greg Oden would be a heck of a player to come off the bench.

I am really intrigued, BUT what can we really expect from him that we cant get from an already established free agent?

Wishful thinking but i hope we can somehow get him and he somehow lives up to the potential he had.

    Robinson
    Duncan
    Oden

    all three number 1 picks.

    one can dream...

Oden on the Spurs would be sick on NBA 2K14.

If we can resign Splitter I actually like this. That way if Oden went down again which he is unfortunately somewhat likely to do, we have Splitter there.
