QB/ATH Aaron Sharp committed to Utah on Friday, de-committed on Saturday and committed to Kansas State.
Quotes from the father of DE Derick Roberson on the status of his son's Texas commitment (HornsNation):
“He is still 100 percent with Texas,” Erick Roberson said. “Some of those tweets, he, uh, he got upset with one of his little girlfriends and was saying ‘I can’t wait to get out of Texas to get away from some of these people at his school.’ That’s all it is. It has nothing to do with UT. He even told me the other day that as long as Mack [Brown] is there [he’ll stay] because he chose to play for him.”
“The last two schools that he spoke to are LSU and Alabama,” Erick Roberson said. “I know both of them have offered him. As far as we talked last, and that was a couple of weeks ago, he hasn’t mentioned any of them.”
“He’s been a Longhorns fan for a while,” his father said. “I think it all goes back to, ironically enough, when we were out in Las Vegas and UT beat USC in that championship game. That’s really when he became a Longhorns fan. That’s what it comes from."
“He was a big Vince Young fan. He was actually born in San Antonio so we stayed here for a while then we moved out to Las Vegas and he was a USC fan for a while. But he’s always been UT.”
“That’s all it is. He’s solid with UT,” Erick Roberson said. “I’m pretty sure he is firm with UT. His interest has sparked a little bit but I don’t anticipate him changing his commitment unless something dramatic happens at UT as far as the coaching staff goes. But he’s not planning on decommitting or going anywhere else. We have coaches call here all the time and he doesn’t even want to talk to them. That’s where he is right now.”

What's that about Fournette and Jevan Felix? I can't see The Eyes but got an email with incomplete updates.
SBNation interviews QB Jerrod Heard at the Elite 11 Finals / The Opening:

All it says is Felix keeps in touch with Roberts and Fournette since he went to St. Augustine.
They hang out whenever those guys are in Austin.
This is far from the end of the world. He is similar to Jacorey Warrick and I rather have Warrick to be honest. Also, we have 6 WRs in the class, it's time to get some DBs and DTs.

Texas knew where it was positioned in that race.
JUCO DT is a must, imo.

Tony Brown is just a sick athlete...
Wescott Eberts @SBN_Wescott 8mInsane. RT @Perroni247: Wow. Tony Brown ran a 4.35 40 and a 3.83 shuttle
WR Speedy Noil posted the second best SPARQ score ever. 4.4 40 and a 45"+ vertical were some of his results.
Scratch LB/S Edwin Freeman. It doesn't look like he made the trip to Oregon.
Kind of a weird update on S Jamal Adams from 24/7. He says he's probably pushing back his decision date to September because he knows he's not ready, but he plans on taking an official visit to Florida on November 30th when they take on FSU. So, either he's a Gator in September or he's not making a decision until after his senior season.
Texas has hired a new offensive quality control coach. Not sure if he'll report to Shipley or Suddes:

Yall see this? UT grad Jeff Hildebrand is donating $35mm to build A&M's new equestrian center. His daughter is on the team.
Good friend of mine owns a construction company and is an Aggsy grad, but his wife is a former Baylor athlete and his daughter goes to Texas, this guy is donating mad money to all 3 schools. But the business contacts he has made at all three schools have made him 10x in money for his business. He has a recent golfing picture with him RC Slo , Mack Brown, and Gene Stalling.
Reminder that S Arrion Springs is committing today at The Opening. It's expected to be Oregon.
Looks like UT made an impression at the 11th hour. Any chance he shocks everyone and chooses Texas?
If you go watch his interview on bleacher report, there is no way he is not committing to Oregon
I didn't think that there was much of a chance, but wasn't sure if maybe his parents prefered UT. With 21 commits, who rounds out the recruiting class?
1. Realistic gets
2. Dream list

Texas still the most valuable college football team, according to Forbes. Another trophy for Dodds.

A few quotes from RB Leonard Fournette on Texas (24/7):
“Me and my parents have been talking to Coach (Mack) Brown and Coach (Larry) Porter,” said Fournette.
“I love it out there (in Austin),” Fournette said. “I’m going to take one of my officials to Texas. Me and Jermaine have taken a look at them before and now he’s committed. I’m going to take another look at them again and see how I like it. I haven't scheduled any official visits just yet though.”
“Jermaine (Roberts) and Courtney (Garnett) are not trying to influence me to do anything,” he said. “Whatever decision I make, they’re happy with it.”
“I do talk to Javan Felix some though,” added Fournette. “He tells me about the college experience. He tells me how it’s like coming from high school to college. He loves it down there. I talked to him last time I visited.”
“I do not have any favorites at all,” Fournette said. “I’m just looking for a school where I can feel at home.”
