It's true, Clips fans are going to LOVE Jared Dudley. He's not an electric athlete at all, but he has a high basketball IQ, has all the intangibles, and fights for everything he gets. Team-first hustle 3-point shooter who loves the spotlight. Great midrange shot, deceptive, will give you approximately 6 dunks all year. There's no other player like him in the NBA.

Dudley is a championship caliber role player. Always thought he was born a Spur. Great versatility, great coachability.

LA is gonna love him and his personality.

So can a clipper fan make me feel better about this trade?

I just dont understand why the the Suns traded for another point guard when they have Dragic. The idea is that they wanted another "Play maker" but thats not Bledsoe's strength. His assist/turnover ratio isnt even 2:1. Hes not great at getting his own shot off either.

His strengths are athleticism, rebounding and defense. Why would the Suns want a point guard with these qualities when they already have a good starting point guard and two suitable backups?

^They wanted to get rid of the additional years in Dudley's contract according to the fellows on .620 this afternoon. Duds had 3. Butler has one. Bledsoe has one.

That really only makes sense if they plan on not resigning bledsoe. If they want to clear cap space, why trade for a guy you'll have to re-sign?

Once again according to .620 this afternoon, the Suns will give Bledsoe every opportunity to showcase his talents in a number of ways and positions. If he blows up they'll go along with him. If not, nothing ventured, nothing gained. They said Dudley viewed himself as the " e" not the steak. Since they don't have a prime cut, just one of those steaks with the number on the the side from Waffle House he wasn't the right player for them.

We weren't going to be able to keep him no matter what, so might as well sell high on him.... the Clippers' starting wings were god-awful last year and the roster lacked shooters in general, so bringing in Re and Dudley (along with drafting Bullock) fixes those issues, tbh....

& he's too gd short. It's an exercise in futility. You did right, CN, even though it took you what 3 gd years to figure out he was short. Christ-a-mighty.
