5 million a season is too much for an inept offensive player who is a great perimeter defender.

If Tony Allen gets 4 years 20m what does Manu deserve? 3 years 21m tbh. Last year half guaranteed.

Bruce Bowen earned roughly the same figure as a Spur imho. 5m/yr is a fair price for such a defense-oriented player, even though he's an elite defender. Dude is one of the best perimeter defenders in the league but can't make any impact offensively. You don't often pay a role player more than 5m/y on average, but Tony Allen is worth that money. plus people also need to see outside his statline, his workrate is perfect which makes extra positive influence on their youngsters

#4 in def. Efficiency in 2013. Don't even think he had that in 2012. Yes, he is 31, but he only plays 25 minutes doing what he does well.

Good signing. Probably a little on the high side, but I'd rather pay your dependable veterans a little more than spend it on gambles.

you're unfairly low-balling this guy...don't underestimate the importance of his toughness and defense....I'd love him in LA for 5 per...it's bargain deal...you can't expect these guys to play really hard and contribute to your team for anything less than 5...unless they're suckers or Luke Walton

underpaid imho, he could get more money for less years but instead he has chosen to stay where he is for when he'll be a tosb. Good deal for both i guess. He should play starters minutes for the first time in his career too.

the NBA has too many good players, im not taking anything away from toughness or defense, but if tony allen could score the basketball, please, he would be easy a 5 mill player. Your paying him to play D, not to score, and people wont pay money for someone who cant entertain them, and score the ball imho. still love this guys game though.

Don't think there's that much a difference between 4m/yr and 5m/yr. Dude is like the best perimeter defender of the league and he's surely worth the mid-level salary imho. If he could hit some 3's consistently his price would've doubled
