Lateral move...don't look now. Someone starting a thread about this lol..
The Bucks just offered him a 3y/20m deal. I really doubt SA would offer the same amount.

And people whine about Splitter's contract. Yeowch.
With the 2014 draft class being so strong, will the Spurs have a chance to draft a great player? Assuming the Spurs pick in the late 20's again.
Who knows, sometimes strong drafts at the top scare guys in the tiers below and vice versa.
Also it's gonna be pretty much impossible to trade up...
Oops!
I figured if Kirilenko and Greg friggin' Oden get their own threads, why not Kutcher?
It seems to me that if AK47, Ellis, or Oden were really coming here, then we should have heard something definite by now!
Are you being sarcastic? The Spurs could trade up, but I'm not sure what they would use to do that. Assuming they pick in the 20's, is there any chance of getting a solid player to help build around?
Ken Berger @KBergCBS
The Pacers have reached agreement on a multi-year deal with point guard Donald Sloan, league sources say.
What asset do we have to trade up in the strongest draft in 10 years? Half the league is tanking for it if you haven't noticed.
This is 2003 all over again : Lebron, Wade, Bosh, Carmelo...
I think they have to get the returning contracts settled first so they know exactly how much they can offer AK, Ellis or Oden (or whoever.)
Looks like they just settled Manu's deal so unless they are waiting on Neal, they should be about ready to tender offers...
Good point. At some point, when Duncan and Ginobili retire, the Spurs will need to find a way to get high draft picks in order to re-stock the team. Am I right?
We can replace Manu easily, but Duncan's physical and mental hole can not be filled easily...
I don't think Splitter can be the Spurs star big man once Duncan retires.
Good. Now that all the predictable moves are out of the way, let's see what surprises (or lack thereof) the Spurs have in store.
Manu cost the Spurs a championship and now a marquee free agent. DIE ALREADY!

The Captain speaks up on Manu deal. Tim Duncan text to @Monroe_SA: "YES!!! Couldn't have seen it happening any other way." Would have hated it without him here. Excited he's sticking around for two more."
How couldn't we get in on that...Adrian Wojnarowski @WojYahooNBA2m
Portland is a possible destination for center Robin Lopez, with Indiana and others on a short list in pursuit, league sources tell Y!
Why are all these tweets of just dudes being posted?
Jesse is actually a pretty good writer and a friend of mine. He was on the espn blog for the Spurs if I call. Just another point of view fwiw.
Marc J. Spears @SpearsNBAYahoo1m
Interested teams in Sixers free agent forward Dorrell Wright include: OKC, POR, SA, MEM & DAL, source tells Y! Sports.
Guess I wouldn't be too opposed to such a signing.
