2 years is fine but for how much?
Manu Ginobili @manuginobili
Thrilled to announce that as I always hoped, I'm gonna stay with the @spurs for two more years. #gospursgo.
2 years is fine but for how much?
Lets start guessing...
I say....$5M / year
Well then.
We're all going to be waiting in anticipation for those contract details. Do the Spurs remain players or not?
Reminds me of the boxer who keeps boxing past his prime and keeps getting knocked out by guys who use to be his sparring partner.
Good stuff. I couldn't handle seeing this guy in some other jersey.
Great news, we will now be able to enjoy two more years of the Big 3 playing together.
Oh and good. Guy can still be effective, it's just up to him, his ego, and Pop to make sure he's in the right position to be so.
Manu coming back wasn't the question. Terms of the deal are what matter here.
Agreed I'm kinda scared, 2 more years pretty much guarantees he goes out like Kidd.
I'm guessing $12M total, something like 5.5/6.5.
Edit: when the true number comes out, it will be very telling
Good news. Manu Ginobili is one of my favorite players, and I'm glad he's back.
No big money, no big money, no whammy's STOP!
Ray Allen makes $3m per year, Manu should take the same
Glad Ginoboli is staying. I'm not sure how much they are paying him. That's what'll determine if it was a good signing or not. Knowing the Spurs front office, though, they aren't going to overpay tremendously on a free agent, so I'd bet they got relatively good deal.
I don't like his 8 turnovers in Game 6, but like it or not, he can still be an elite level playmaker. It took one of the NBA's best defenses to make him a turnover machine. Not many teams are good enough to do that. Basically the Heat. He did reasonably well against most other teams in the playoffs. He certainly picked his moments, but he showed that he could step up when needed. He struggled against Miami, though.
Hope he gets his 3 point shot back. Or maybe better, hope he learns what is a good three point shot and a bad one.
How much will he earn?

He has to make more than Bonner...
If Manu took 5M or less per year that would be so huge for the Spurs and would be pretty selfless of Manu.
GREAT GREAT news.
Now, let's wait to see for how much money to project what Spurs will be able to do for the rest of their off-season.
Manu is back.. and he will retire with the Spurs. #Legend.
Who are the other Spurs only players who played for more than 10 years? DRob, Timmy, Parker are the only ones that come to my mind immediately. Others?
They went from asking about AK47 and Ellis to asking about Billups and Barnes, don't think they're gonna have any significant cap space left.
And Pop won't amnesty his son, that's not happening.
2 years, both fully guaranteed.
