I can see both sides.. There are those who would think that the writing is on the wall, the older we get the more the production goes down but you have also take into consideration that this is all the Front Office knows and this is how they've done business for a long time.. Get little pieces around the core guys and they've pretty much continued to do that no matter what. Now, we can either hope the Spurs have another amazing run and TP play at an MVP level and Duncan to defy time and that Manu's numbers can either go up or Kawhi emerges more.. These things are possible.

The other thought is, we'll never have a blackout so lets not have a flashlight or candles.. It's never going to rain so I won't buy an umbrella, She'll never get pregnant so I won't wear this condom. There are a number of things that can happen and the probability of them happening to this team at there advanced age with the core of guys that do most of the scoring leads us to believe that something can go wrong we need to have a contingency plan.

Let's hope that these Spurs can do it one more time and be successful, let's hope everything plays out like it should for great guys who played hard for one another and we can see them hoist another trophy.

A slow, miserable death sweating on the toilet with bile shooting out of your assholes much like the wet that spews from your keyboard.
Hunter S Thompson would be proud of such vivid imagery.

    I agree, by the way.

Not being a homer at all. If you guys had solid takes to go along with your tiness that would be a different story, but outside of a select few . . . you all suck. And you know who you are. If you're in this thread and you're mad about what I said . . . you suck. Go eat a taco and die.

As much as I hate to side with the GNSF's, they got a point. The fact is that Ginobili's $7 million contract eats up significant cap space. Spurs finally had a chance to add another key piece, but instead they'll be looking at adding another role player.

We all watched the same playoffs. Spurs had been struggling to score during crunch time when the game is close. When Parker is shut down, the offense dies. Trotting out the same Parker/Ginobili/Green/Leonard/Duncan lineup that's another year older guarantees the same failure. Doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different result is the definition of insanity.

I can't believe Spurs fans and the management are still burying their heads in the sand and still think this core can win a championship. Especially those that actually think Ginobili's contract is a good idea. He had a miserable year, every year showed significant decline, injury prone, will be 36 years old, and made terrible decisions in the finals. These are facts. Even the most die hard Ginobili fan knows he played a terrible finals series and cost the Spurs game 6, their best chance of stealing the championship.

The Spurs had an opportunity to tell Ginobili that they would like to keep him but will move on to a different direction. Ginobili could either take less money or move on. But the Spurs didn't and it perplexes me. It wouldn't have even been too much of a risk. Ginobili degraded so much that he was only scoring 11 points and letting him facilitate the offense was like playing russian roulette. Replacing him with a $8-10 million free agent would have been a step forward. How do Spurs fans who want to see the team improve suck?

I understand what ur saying. The people you are talking about are the same cliff jumpers that want to commit suicide when the Spurs lose a game. Lol but then with guilt and relief make "i was wrong about Manu" threads when ever he has a decent game and we win

You can either be really mad at the situation and it won't do anything because none of us work in the front office and have clout to tell RC and Pop what they're doing is questionable or you can just embrace it as this is the way the Spurs do business. They rarely gamble on FA's, they get cogs that they can groom who they think have a high BB IQ. The one time they ventured out and got a FA it was a failed bit because they looked at the potential and not whether he would fit the system for what the Spurs wanted him to do. This is how the Spurs operate, they bring back the same core guys, they look for guys who will have 1 or 2 jobs and they try to teach them the system as they come off the bench in a limited role, then they try to expand that the next season etc. Pop is old and he doesn't want to waste his time teaching "the system" to a guy and have this guy be inserted into an important role as a starter or a bench guy who we need to score. The Spurs will ride this until the wheels fall off and our core team breaks down, there isn't a parachute, it's all or nothing.

You don't deserve to be fans of this team. This team that exceeded any and all expectations and were an angel's ass hair away from another LOB. You on the players who have given you their blood, sweat and tears and repay them by wanting to replace them with Marcin Gortat and Kyle Korver or whatever FA is on the market. You all suck and I am ashamed to be associated with you. I love the Spurs, but I hate you all. I hope you all die from eating bad chicken at Taco Cabana. A slow, miserable death sweating on the toilet with bile shooting out of your assholes much like the wet that spews from your keyboard. You all deserve to be kicked in your shriveled testicles by Gregory Popovich untill you start hemorrhaging blood out of you ears and nostrils, you fat, flauta eating s. I want to set fire to your Ginobili jerseys while you're wearing them. Seriously, you suck.
Umm....word? My sentiments exactly. We house a ton of bags for fans. Zero perspective.
