As we all know slavery was horrendous, it was terrible. Anyone saying otherwise needs to be shot. So do not misunderstand me.
As we also know living in Africa sucks. I have asked my best friend Stan if he'd been better off staying in Africa (black man)...it's.. you! I've asked co-workers and other black friends the same question, it's always..."you kidding" (something similiar) So was slavery actually a blessing in disguise? Once again....yes slavery it's self was appalling, absolutely terrible but what about those only here because of it? How many avenues are opened to athletes, entertainers in Africa? What are Langston Hughes, James Baldwin, Paul Robeson, The Platters, Aretha Franklin, Ray Charles, Denzel Washington doing in Nigeria/Ghana or the Ivory Coast? Robert Johnson in Namibia? Richard Wright in Zimbabwe? Where are all these punk rappers if in the Congo? Miles Davis in South Africa?
What if she'd grown up in Kenya?
