I imagine a Vasquez extension would be in the neighborhood of $20-25M/4. If he makes that much money, he'll probably be the new sixth man. While I think we could (and as of now would) see Ginobili and Green play the three a good deal, Vasquez would probably eat all of the backup point-guard minutes and a good deal of Ginobili's minutes. Or of De Colo, Mills and Joseph would be a fringe rotation player, but the other would be in a suit most games. Those players need to get game time to figure things out.
How likely is it that Dell Demps does the Spurs a solid?
LOL HI ICE! DAMN MAN you are just like me at times! I said this same thing earlier, when I saw that HEAD BONNER back and maybe Neal too! Piss poor finals though nah! They played the game and played to win, just blew a half a minute to lose itOtherwise they came to win. I agree on next season though, not crazy over BONNER back at all nor Neal, not a fan of those guys at all and never will be, wish they were gone for others.
To get excited about the possibility of Vasquez or not to get excited about the possibility?
That is the question.
Just throwing this out there, but would Cojo + draft pick possibly entice the Hornets to trade Vasquez? I doubt the Spurs would even consider it, but it's an interesting proposition.

Kirilenko looking for a three year contract and is willing to think about veteran minimum after that -
http://www.twincities.com/sports/ci_...xcept-contract
Give him a four year contract with the fourth year partially guaranteed (MLE?) and I think there is a way he could be swayed.
Please make it happen Spurs.. Something tells me another team will give him a 3 year deal at $7-9 million. And guarantee a starting spot. Spurs can do neither.
Judging from the content in that article it's near safe to say he wants to (and probably will) remain in Minny...Next!
But Minny can't afford him having signed Martin & Budinger and soon to resign Pekovic.
actually, that's an old article... and now Minny signed KMart, and might not have money for AK...
That is the only team I can really see who did! They did get better. They got a better coach now too. BROOKLYN got better too IMO, but they are not a top three team out East IMO so blahhhhhhhhhhh that is not my concern. Other than that others got worse or just stood pat so far.
Vasquez would fit perfectly on this team as a backup PG. He's a cerebral player in a picknroll scheme and he has a swagger about him. The Spurs should go after him.
I wonder where he ends up...
I think he screwed up by opting out and putting out there he wants to play for a contender. He is probably not getting the interest that his agent thought he was and so is now trying to work out a deal to stay.
Son if you think Manu went hot potato in the finals, just think about this: Vazquez's spirit animal is a hot potato

Cue 'Oh he's in good company because of Rondo Harden Holiday Bryant etc' hahaha very funny. But if we were going for ball safety, I disapprove of Vazquez.

Vasquez would probably rather start in Sacramento than come off the bench in San Antonio tbh.
Damn, that Southwest division is gonna be brutal next season.
THAT ARTICLE IS JULY 1
http://basketball.realgm.com/wiretap...uez-Lopez-Deal
The Pelicans would acquire a newly signed Evans while Greivis Vasquez would be sent to the Kings and Robin Lopez moved to the Blazers.
It is unclear what the Blazers would trade to participate in the deal.
Al Jefferson is heading to Charlotte on three-year deal worth estimated$41 million with opt out after Year 2, sources tell ESPN
So what is your opinion about Splitter's deal now?![]()
