They should have his number now.
I know it's not the hottest topic for the Spurs, but I find it quite funny that a guy, expected to be drafted in the second round, refuses to give a potential future employer his cell number/email. How dumb can you be...

They should have his number now.
I believe the spurs posted him a letter on draft night stating their intent to draft him at #58.
It should arrive in Deshaun's mailbox next Wednesday
what happens to this guy if he looks good in summer league? do we sign him and send him to austin?
Is there any chance of him making the Spurs roster?
Probably not since we're bringing back the same squad.
8 of the 15 players on the playoff roster were second round picks or undrafted free agents. Let's see what he has in Summer League and training camp. The Spurs do have a gaping hole at backup SF.
I don't think he leap frogs anyone.. He'll be a Toro
He wouldn't have to leapfrog anyone to fill the backup SF role. That position is currently vacant.
I have no idea if he's good enough. I've never seen him play, not even a youtube clip. He does have the advantage, however, of competing for a position that has no in bent.
I don't think so. At least not this coming season. Not counting Neal or Blair the Spurs already have 12 guys under contract. With the way rumors are coming out about the Spurs being interested in the Chauncey Billups / Greg Oden / Matt Barnes of the world it looks like the Spurs are looking at league min vets to round out the roster. There doesn't appear to be any room for a guy like Thomas on this year's squad. At least not as things currently stand.
i wouldn't be surprised if he makes the roster. blair is a for sure gonner. tmac is probably gone. i think neal and bonner probably go too.
if thomas has a good summer league, he'll be the new cojo. a dleague project.
I would be shocked if me made the roster.
I'd rather have TMac, but the Spurs wouldn't give me their phone number, so who knows?
He can post his cell phone number via Beyoncé's Twitter and it still won't change the fact that he has zero chance of being even remotely relevant towards the Spurs' future le hopes. Nothing to see here.
If he makes the roster, it's because the Spurs failed to bring in a viable backup SF... so yea, that'd be bad.
Hopefully he doesn't dissapoint.
Theres always a chance. Gary Neal is a testament to that.
But the chance is definitely only a slight one.
I don't know why all of you write him off about being able to help us next season, he is nba ready player, smart, savvy with wet outside shot. Could be nice addition to our team.
That is very much to be determined. NBA ready players are typically drafted much higher than 58.
There are players that go undrafted all the time and pan out, it has nothing to do what # you're drafted at but the team who's drafting you.. There are a lot of good players that fall into mediocrity because of where they go and who's teaching them. This kid looks like he wants to compete, will show his skill set during the Summer League and if the Spurs don't pick him up another team will.
