Blazers getting us to overpay for T-Vag and then getting Robin Lopez who makes 5M a year...
3 years is pretty nice because it gives better flexibility, besides big Al has probably the best post game of any center so he's in another galaxy compared to Splitter...

Bobcats are going to be scary next year.......![]()
I don't know. His stats are pretty good. 18 & 9. Last year in the playoffs he averaged the same against Splitter. His D is pretty bad, while his offense is much, much better than Splitter's. I'd still wouldn't give him 13,6m a year, but if Manu is worth 7M then it.
They now have a nucleus of Jefferson, Zeller, and MKG. Could be worse.
Yep they are getting much better.
The main thing bobcats fans are excited about this offseason is the unveiling of their new Hornets uni's tbh.
'Cats would still suck, but still better than this year or last. Think of the Bucks, or Kings. This year, they get a legit go-to guy, although he's no franchise player. But if Zeller pans out, MKG improves and stays healthy, Walker continues improving and if Biyombo becomes AT LEAST a rotation player, then they could fight for the 8th seed but ultimately come up short. A lot of ifs, but that's how the 'Cats are.
@SportBlogNYC: 3 team deal between the Pelicans, Kings, and Blazers about to go down. Tyreke Evans to NO, Greivis Vasquez to SAC, Robin Lopez to POR.
Portland gets their backup Center.
Have fun in Charlotte Jefferson.![]()
Probably. Also Kemba. Seems like nothing ever goes right for the 'Cats though..
Looks like the Bobcats are amnestying Tyrus Thomas. I think we should go after him.
Almost 14 million a year for big that is no defense, empty stat machine. I'm sure his stats will look good again this year as the Bobcats head back to the lottery.

Welp, so much for Vasquez...
He was the first option on a playoff team, that's more than T-Vag can ever hope to become...
He's not awful...but he's an empty stat machine nonetheless...and he's certainly not worth almost 14 million a year. I'd much rather have a big that is an elite pick and roll player, actually plays defense and can pass for 8-9 million than an offense only player for 5-6 million more per year.
He was the first option for a BAD playoff team that got swept in large part due to his lack of defense and his ball-stopping on offense. I hope Splitter never becomes that.
It's funny to hear Spur fan talking about wanting Jefferson, because in a series against the Heat he would be in the exact same place as Splitter was...on the bench due to matchups.
Right, arguably the best post up game in the nba on the bench in a Miami series...
I agree that Big Al isn't a great fit here but he would absolutely abuse Miami for putting Chalmers, Miller, etc on him. Miami had a PG guarding Tiago out there.
He would give up as many points as he provided on the other end. Spurs don't need him...and they certainly don't need him for that type of money. They need a combo forward that can play effective small ball.
Are you both saying you would have given that contract to Jefferson?
