Bobcats will amnesty him to create space to sign Al Jefferson.
I wouldnt mind him for the minimum if he clears the waivers. No one doubts his talent and athletic ability and with good coaching he could be a nice spark, defender, rebounder off the bench.

tyrus thomas amnestied thread
No thanks.. cant remember the last time he played at least 60 games in a season. I also have doubts about his talent level as well, guy just isnt that good.
Would the Spurs need to cut Bonner to get under the cap (along with resending Neals offer) and get in position to claim him?
He's 6'10 can jump out the gym and block shots. He can rehab his stock with his contender like Blatche.
ok missed it, sorry...
yessir, because we have splitter and manu cap holds... we need him to go unclaimed and sign him as a fa
Bidding on Thomas reduces the chances of signing another competent free agent, so definitely no.
Someone will claim Thomas.
I can not rember when manu played more then 60 games
I get him confused with Anthony Randolph. Which is the one who occasionally insists on playing point?
Guess you have not seen him play lately..Me neither, cause he is averaging around 40 games a year over the past 5 seasons. Guy is finished and by the way, he's only averaged a little over 1 block shot per game in his career (not that great, sorry)
He played 81 this season............
He played 60 games this past season. Just 6 less than Tony.
He can't stay healthy and even when he is healthy he still can't play his way into the rotation of the mighty Charlotte Bobcats.
i have to agree but u just never know
The Bobcats kept trying to use him as a small-forward frequently last season, so that's probably why he was damn bad. I'm not sure how much he will contribute to the Spurs. He's strictly a power-forward and the Spurs need more of combo-forward. And there's the issue of Thomas not being as athletic as he was four years ago and his questionable to non-existent basketball I.Q.
Don't think he would be better than Baynes tbh, pass.
TT couldn't even get minutes on the Bobcats team the past 2 seasons ... come on. He won't even get picked up by a team in China.
Bobcats also let Diaw go...
Thomas would have been a great addition 3 years ago when most of us wanted him, but he has been a horrible player since his torn meniscus, tbh..his athleticism has faded following the injury, which has rendered him virtually useless, tbh..
He's not 6-10, he's 6-8.25 in shoes when measured out in the combine.
Thomas was just fine in Charlotte before they made (or tried to make) him a small forward. It was all downhill after that, which isn't his fault. He still has some defensive/shot-blocking/rebounding chops when utilized correctly, and the Spurs could use a situational defensive 4 off the bench. For the vet minimum he'd be an excellent signing.
