Earl was having no part of the Bryant-driven LA drama. His career is on the rise and he was only going to be held back by Bryant. This is a telling departure, because D'Antoni LOVES Earl Clark. So for Earl to leave the team whose coach loves him...that speaks volumes about who is really running things in LA. And the Lakers get less athletic, if that's even possible.

EC had 20 good games...doesn't warrant basically 10 mill for 2 yrs....the Cavs are desperate and it's this kinds of signing that will keep them in poverty...EC will now promptly fade back in to the abyss of unknown players once they left Kobe...like Sasha, Farmar, Odom, Barnes, Ariza, Bynum, etc.....

As funny as it is to see another player bolt LA, Earl Clark is trash and will be wasted cap space for two years in Cleveland. He won't be missed much.
Clark had some good games but then he hit the wall, non-issue. Put that Jordan Hill back in the rotation tbh.
Earl Clark was at the end of the bench with Sacre until someone got fouled and couldn't shoot the freebies, the opposing coach chose Clark to shoot me, he hit both, and _'Antoni was like, 'maybe I should play this guy?'. It was a fluke he even got to sniff the court, but can't remember which game that was.
I think when LA played at SA, Dwight,Pau,Hill,Blake were all out so LA had to start Sacre and Clark, Clark had a 22 pt 13 reb game, his first big game of the season, before that game he barely got minutes and his best game was 5 pts 9 reb vs Houston
EC is overrated, tbh. He can't play SF because he can't keep up with the quicker forwards and at PF he's kinda small, but very active and athletic, which allows him to get a lot of rebounds and open 3s, he's a younger version of Chris Copeland, IMO. Only that Copeland put up better stats with less minutes for the Knicks. Not worth 4.5mil per game right now, I doubt LA matches.
