I just don't know if I could have come in here at 5-5 Duncan over the tired old bag Kobe. I just don't think I have it in me. Or, if I did come how long I could have lasted till I went berserk & haywire making the Ellis girl put me down like some rabid ing dog.

It was a miracle that they lost. A goddamn living miracle. in' Allen subconsciously backpedaling and stopping precisely between the lines. Jesus, Mother Mary and Joseph. I get in' antsy just talking about it. I feel like beating somebody up.

Game 6/7 was less about the Spurs losing and more about the Heat winning

fluke shots when danny green and gary neal were throwing shots up in the sky 5 feet off the arch while fading away and still hitting

if it wasnt for their fluky shooting, miami wins in 5

Spurs ing blew it. had that on a silver platter in 6 and ing blew it, was the perfect storm. could have won game 7 too if lebron didn't get in rhythm.

That was the work of a professional writer? That is a horrible take.

    The Spurs averaged 0.258 FTA/FGA, and allowed 0.235 FTA/FGA

The Heat, on the other hand, averaged 0.285 FTA/FGA and allowed 0.262 FTA/FGA

The Spurs had a philosophy of not fouling unless necessary, and is a team that shoots a good amount of 3s, so they don't really shoot lots of FTs.

The Heat is a team that doesn't have much of an inside threat and shoots about the same amount of 3s as SAS, so they don't really shoot lots of FTs.

In the playoffs, the Spurs stayed relatively consistent but the Heat didn't. The Spurs shot 0.261 FTA/FGA, and allowed 0.233 FTA/FGA, which are numbers that are virtually identical to their regular season numbers (within 1% in both cases). However, the Heat have numbers of 0.303 FTA/FGA and 0.324 FTA/FGA. That is a 6% and 24% deviation, respectively.

In other words, the Heat allowed a lot more FTAs, while only shooting slightly more in the playoffs when compared to the RS.

In the series, the Spurs shot 158 FTA vs. 557 FGA, which is a 0.284 FTA/FGA, very much in line with expectations when you factor in the Spurs history of FTA/FGA vs. the Heat allowed FTA/FGA.

The Heat shot 0.207 FTA/FGA for the series, but this was skewed heavily by the Game 3 blow out, when players like Lebron and Wade played less minutes, and thus have less FTAs. If you take that game out, the heat shot 0.218 FTA/FGA, which is not that far off from what the Spurs allowed. In fact, the Heat series FTA/FGA is 6.5% less than the Spurs allowed FTA/FGA in the playoffs, while the Spurs series FTA/FGA is 12.5% less than the Miami allowed FTA/FGA.

The numbers are pretty consistent from what one might expect, and it comes as no surprised. It is one of the better called playoffs I have witnessed in the last decade or so. The Heat won the series fair and true, and deserved all the accolades that come with it.

I agree in this case. The Heat didn't need 27 FTA in the fourth quarter in any of the games. Good for them. They are the true champions in 2013.

There was only really one spot where I noticed any consistently poor officiating in the finals, and that was Q3 of game 6, where the refs were just blatantly awful for Miami through a good portion of that quarter. I don't think it was intentional, I think it was just bad luck for Miami. But they bounced back of course... lol
