Kawhi. He'll choke in two years against a 35yr old Matt Barnes

If you watch his college highlights you see quite a bit of emotion compared to what he shows in the NBA...
Makes you think if that will show once Tim and Manu are gone and it becomes his team...
Oh and that first play on the highlight is crazy![]()

That video showed me confidence....imagine how good he could be once he really starts to believe in his game..kid is scary good
he is very shy in the nba, i think cause the spurs is a really serious organization, he become even more shy.
gotta "sell" himself at draft time. Wonder how many times he had to practise that speech to get it like that.
lol, first time i've seen this clip, he's pumping his chest, screaming, bump with his teammates haha, good stuff
i think we'll see him show more emotions after a couple of years
there's also this interview where he talks non stop for 3 mins!
I think Leonard deserves to be a leader on the team. He and Tim were the best players in games 6-7.
i dont think he has it in him to be a true leader/ number one option, just basing that from his couple of years in the nba and his personality but he's def gonna be more vocal as he gets more and more comfortable in the nba
It's for the same reason that Green no longer dances before games, why Mills no longer does his three-goggles and why Splitter doesn't look like the same player he was in Europe. He's "gotten over himself". I don't necessarily mean that in a bad way, but I think he and the others are going through a period where they started out as big guys on their teams and are now in the presence of all-time greats. It changes the way you see yourself, and the way you celebrate. Pop also has something to do with it, because even though he doesn't seem to discourage emotion, I think he creates an expectation to act professionally until the job is done.
It's a part of the Spurs culture I hope relaxes in the next era. Not only do I think that these guys should go back to the way they were when they were at their best (relatively speaking), but I also think that we as fans will probably appreciate fist-pumping and chest-bumping a lot more when we don't have 50-win seasons and deep playoff runs to look forward to anymore.
This team doesn't need more leaders. Manu, TD, TP are doing the job just fine.
A few years from now, Yes. In the next couple of years, Probably not. Game wise, he's role needs to increase.
Nobody is saying anything about thats Chuncy Billups working out with him in the pre draft video.
thought so...good pick up
Agree. Kawhi's trash talk with Jimmer Fredette and verbal skirmish with UConn's Alex Oriakhi are the best moments of NCAA 2011

Yeah, he showed some emotion that day haha
1:21 half court, Leonard laughing and clapping at Jimmer
From college to nba he made a big change in his mindset, thanks to pop and Tim probably, before coming to the spurs he wasn't totally committed to winning basketball, he took things a little through the motion, now he has the ultimate focus and will to succeed, and lack of emotion is part of the change in at ude...
Next season he needs yo get plays called for him more often. His overall gm looks to be waaay better than the Spurs allowing it to be.
Starts at 3:23
“Stop talking trash! Stop talking trash!” Fredette yelled..."What are you going to do about it? Huh? Huh? Do something; I dare you." “I’m not going to repeat anything that (Leonard) said,” Fredette told the media. “But he was excited that they won. He decided to say some things. I’m not going to back down. I said a couple things as well.”

Thanks, that was a video I originally was looking for !
No shi* smartas*. You should also realize that Kobe was on his prime after the Shaq years. Nobody will ever deny that Kobe's first three championships were under Shaq's coattail.
