Jazz
What in the holy are the jazz thinking. Is this just a straight up tank move?
Huge amount of cap next year along with a first rounder draft pick and chance to tank for Wiggins. It's not bad if you think about it. Jazz weren't going anywhere anyway.
Tbh if the league really gives that much of a about team's tanking, they should basketball reasons the out of this trade.
Utah is planning to tank for this 25% chance of getting 1st pick, but league with give this one to Lakers with their 2,5 %
Your pussy & asshole is showing, Mal.
Tanking for this draft class is very smart for the Jazz...
This is a brilliant move for the Jazz. Their entire MO this season is to develop their young guys (Burke/Burks/Hayward/Favors/Kanter) and (in part because they're playing all young guys) tank this season to get more good draft picks next year.
This trade does a few amazing things for the Jazz:
1. They use their cap space on horrible players instead of good ones. If you use your cap space on good players, they take minutes away from the young guys and keep you in NBA limbo (i.e.- somewhere around the 10th to 20th best team).
2. Any minutes that Jefferson and Biedrins get are mostly serving to make the team worse, thus aiding in their tanking.
3. Because Jefferson and Biedrins are so bad, no one will be clamoring for them to get minutes, so they can continue to play their young guys heavy minutes (developing the youth, plus tanking without really trying).
4. On top of all this, they're probably getting a 1st rounder or two from the Warriors.
It's ugly & vulgar what Utah has done. But, a direct correlation twixt supply & demand and a screaming eagle for contraction by 25% (at least).
^& Utah will conduct them as a good farm system should= ferret their talent, vet their resume, teach them the NBA way?, then disperse them.
Ok, not the best of deals IMO for how much they helped GS, but not awful. Should have gotten more IMO, but it's acceptable for their strategy. GS got lucky because this helps them so much with regards to giving them a ton of options. They would have had great cap space next year if they did not make the move (and did not sign Iggy), which definitely might have worked out better in the long run for building long-term success. But we will see.
every time you can get rid of / Biedrins it's a good move
Jabari Parker is mormon and would probably stay there his whole career.
So was Freddette and they didnt take him, when got chance
Jimmer isn't 6-8 and the combination of the best of Battier and Brand.
Parker is a great NBA prospect. Would make a ton of sense of the Jazz are tanking for him.
I looked at what jmark was saying then I realized some dumb was comparing jimmer to Jabari Parker

I'm a happy, happy Jazz fan!!
lol at people thinking this was a horrible move for Utah.
Andris Biedrins, Richard Jefferson, Brandon Rush, 2014 unprotected first round pick, 2017 unprotected first round pick, and two future second round picks to the Jazz for Kevin Murphy.
I love Dennis Lindsey. We'll have cap space next year plus 2 first round picks in a loaded draft with one of them in the lottery. This is a true professional tank job.
Phoenix Suns got this same haul for sign and trading Steve Nash's corpse withOUT taking on 25 mil of bantha fodder. What complete for Utah. Fail. Would have gotten way more for taking on such an insane amount of ballast.
Idiot talking. We had to fill out our cap space for this season dumbass. Why sign better players when we're in tank mode?
