If you go back to his series against the Thunder, he was heartbroken by his performance. So were most Spurs fans. He had a great playoffs this year with the exception of when it mattered most (games six and seven). What would you grade his playoff performance?

I'd give him an A based on his defense against the Splash Brothers and the record he set in the Finals. In games 6 and 7 they decided to focus on him due to his success.

Danny did a great job. The characterizations of him as a playoff choker were thoroughly debunked.

I'd give him an A even though he fell in an offensive slump in the final two games of the finals. Young player that is still striving to improve his game. If he gets his jump shot and ball handling skills down, I suspect he'll be here a long, long time.

..... Danny Green did everything except dribble drive dunk and draw the foul. im not sure what else you guys werr expecting out of a role player that THOROUGHLY exceeded his expectations.

Danny Green is quite possibly the perfect, prototypical 3&D role player.

He still has lots of limitations, but he grew 10fold in this playoffs. Let's hope he keeps it up and he can be a solid backup SG behind Marco

Yep, even though the year before, he played extremely well for 2 series then was bad vs the thunder, people were still calling him a choker. All those discussions are now all gone after that playoff performance

I wish, but you still have people talking about those last two games, as if he were getting the same looks in those games and just missed them. He forced the Heat to alter their defensive game plan. What other role player has done that?

Anyway, some posters feel that only the game the Spurs lose matter, so they still think Green choked in the clutch.

he easily gets an A for his consistent defensive efforts (most notably in the warriors and heat series)

breaking a finals record for 3pters also helps

I give Danny a solid B. I would have given him an A if he could drive and finish in the paint more consistently. He did very well in the playoffs and I expect him to be working on the mentioned flaws this off-season.

The only mistakes he made were leaving Curry open too much in games 1-3 in the GSW series, then he missed 2 (of only 3) wide wide WIIIIIIDE open shots in the 4th Q in game 6 of the finals. He hits either one of those? Championship. So many chances, we had...but I digress.

So yeah, he had an amazing playoffs overall.

Curry was 3-19 with Green guarding him during the first three games of that series.

NO WAY and A. Finals seems to be a little too much for him. But, I will give him a B - B+. If he hit a couple more 3s in the finals, we win this thing ...
But if he can continue to improve in other areas during the off-season (find other ways to score), I think he will be a great contributor to this team in years to come.

    Really? Where'd you see that?

Must have been 3 huge shots, I recall Danny being extremely sloppy with Curry first 3 games.
