Yall gotta chill on the Cojo slander. His defense is great for being so young. He'll improve on his offense and he'll gain a lot of confidence in summer league. Hopefully he balls out and gets the backup spot.

Corey Joseph has been a model player for the organization and keeps working hard. He has yet to hit his ceiling or earn the label "sucks" with his limited playing time.
Joseph a good defender at PG but he puts zero pressure on the defense as a PG. Manu can't do it anymore. Spurs biggest need by far is a player besides Parker, PG or SG, who can break down the defense and create a shot for himself or others. Cojo doesn't cut it on offense and hasn't shown any indication he will.

Has nothing to do with giving up on him. But this is a 2 year window and I'm not entirely comfortable with the thought of Cory Joseph running a pick and roll in the 4th quarter of an nba finals game.

His points are valid though. Cojo needs to work hard if he wants to be legit backup and more than just a situational PG.

Can't give up on Joseph but it's going to take actual minutes during the season for him to get better overall. He can work on his game during the summer but he needs continuity with the 1st or 2nd unit in order to get chemistry. We can't continue to go with PG by committee and then not use a single one of them in the playoffs for meaningful minutes. I know a lot of people believe in Joseph but the Spurs need to believe in him when the time comes and not just bench him when he struggles or take the ball out of his hands.

Wonder if our next move is will be dictated by Howard going to H town.
Yes. (Just like everybody else in the league.)

They need both to BE HONEST, they need a backup PG and it showed in the finals.
Don't forget about that ugly duckling Nando De Colo.

why would you even put bonner in that conversation
It's a joke (sarcasm is hard to get across on a keyboard)... Howard got frustrated each time Bonner or Baynes were on him in the playoffs because he thinks they're playground scrubs, to the point where he threw his hissy fit and got tossed.

Ryan Anderson chokes as hard as Bonner in the playoffs; Houston wouldn't be getting much better, if at all. Asik on the Pelicans would be scary though. That team along with the Blazers would give the Spurs heaps of trouble if they managed to sneak into the playoffs.

Howard + Harden + Parsons is probably moves the Rockets at the top of the second tier behind SA and OKC imo. Whether they move into the top tier depends on who they get at the PF spot.. im not too concerned if its Josh Smith since he is similar to Dwight (low IQ, monkeyball, primadonna, cant shoot etc).

I heard a rumour about LMA which i dont think has much substance but if they did pull that off then Spurs fans can collectively start to worry.. although both Howard and LMA prefer a slow grind it out style which completely goes against what makes the Rockets tough to beat with Harden.

    Should be interesting.

    Lakers.

Matty did a solid job on Dwight for small stretches in the first round tbh. You watch basketball?
To think that bonner would be our go to matchup with Duncan on the bench..NO...The reason bonner did good against him was because he was beyond pissed off with his team sucking the whole series. Losing your cool can do that just saying.
